Sam Grimley has signed with the Bombers as their eighth top up player. Best of luck to Sam, he was never really a lion so it would be ridiculous and childish for us to ask for any compensation for loosing him as he was never really ours.

Time warp yourself back to the early 80's when you were running around in those horrible yellow jumpers getting flogged week in week out even by 2nd last Perth, just signed a gun forward in the off season only to have him snatched up by a VFL club at the 11th hour. You wouldn't be sitting back so ho hum. You'd be frothing at the mouth.

I unfortunately had a function to attend at the $ubi club rooms last night and I can definitely tell you that Wheeler is still around as he Twomey, Waters and a dozen other players rocked up to the car park @ 9-10pm blind after "Rookies day" they told me. A few of them then ran around on the ground in complete darkness like school kids

No Leedy just a new training routine at the club, always looking for that innovative edge at Subi

Clubs need to start offerring contracts without 'get out clauses'. It may be that such contracts are compulsory, which only goes to show, once again, how the system is loaded against the WAFL clubs. SD have done the right thing complaining about the high handedness of the whole thing.

Market forces AR in my opinion. Wont be many players signing contracts without a "getout" clause in relation to their AFL prospects.
