Your football manager tosser says Giro will assist the progress of your young guys.
In truth he means block the progress.

I'm sure Ainsworth will assist with the development of Perths young blokes.

Considering they’re likely to lose Greg Clarke, not sure replacing him with Giro makes them better.

Is there anything you Subi boys can tell us about Ainsworth? Years of following Perth has left me fearing the worst in any situation. Instead of celebrating getting Ainsworth, I'm thinking "What's wrong with him?" If Subi really wanted him, you would have got him. So is there some knock on his game/attitude/fitness/injury? Or is it simply that you don't rate him that highly and we offered more than you were prepared to pay? I did think, in terms of having another crack at AFL, he might have figured Perth would give him the number one midfield spot, but with Kitchin and Marsh getting on, and Clark in line to be drafted, I think he would have ample opportunity at Subi. So, is there any reason why my mantra "Subi never miss out on a required player" didn't come true this time?

I don't think they will.  There's not a word about him.  Overlooked just like Bolton etc.

Ted, I watched a bit of him when he was playing 2's in a very strong ressies team and he was terrific, hard at it, elite overhead mark and disposal, plus a big tank, he was spoken to by 6 AFL clubs before WC picked him up, so there was plenty of interest. I was surprised he didn't come back to Subi, maybe a bit of complacency by Subi thinking it would just happen, but i understand he has a few good mates over at Perth which may have swayed his decision plus it's very familiar surroundings and close to his ex WC team mates. From a playing POV, he's very different to Clark so maybe not a straight replacement if Clark goes AFL. He will be a real asset for you blokes, natural leader.

Yes agree SS. I'm pretty sure some hard questions would have been asked of our footy department on why he wasn't wrapped up as soon as he was delisted...maybe it was a bit of laziness on our side or complacency as you say...who knows? but you'd think the club wouldn't be happy which says a lot about Ainsworth's value as a player.

I’ll be interested to see how Ainsworth goes for Perth, from what I’ve seen of him, which I have to say isn’t much, just his AFL games and his Eagles WAFL games against Claremont and other TV games I saw a player with no real obvious strength in his game. Not very physically strong, definitely not quick and serviceable skills. Seemed to get a lot of touches but not very damaging with them. That might change playing at a proper club and not going through the Eagles reserves training drill games.
