I'm actually of the same opinion about Clark ToOl. I think he could be a Schloithe, Jye Bolton type story where he never quite gets a go. For his sake I hope he does as it sounds like a few clubs have been in contact but for purely selfish reasons I also hope he doesn't. As for Ainsworth, he played some good footy for WCER this year so he'd fit into our best 22 for sure.

If Clark doesn't get taken then a midfield group next year of Kitchin, Marsh, Clark, Dela, the Hickmotts, Maxy, Golding, Chad Harris and Ainsworth would be very hard to handle.

IF Greg Clark gets drafted (and I’ve got this horrible feeling that he won’t) , Brayden Ainsworth doesn’t even come close to replacing him. Would he even be a certainty for Subis 22? He’d certainly be the skinniest bloke in the side.
I think he had to keep slim for his role with wc so expect to see a bigger Ainsworth

Ainsworth will be good if he stays at Subi, different player to Clark who was bigger and very physical always with a high tackle count. Brayden is more an outside player, I think averaged over 30 touches a game with a poor WCER team, has a big tank, very good disposal and excellent overhead. Certainly in our best 22.

Wc wanted him to be an outside player but he prefers to be an inside player and is better on the inside is what I have heard SS. Hence why wc kept him slimmer

If thats the case and our strength and conditioning guys get hold of him and bulk him up over summer, he might be a good replacement for Clark if he's drafted.

I see Lachy Vanirsen is back on the senior list. I'm pretty sure he was taken off when he went across to ammo's so maybe he's decided to come back for next year. I hope so as he's a real prospect.

BC we need these guys to come through as we wont get to much more out of Kitch & marsh who have been our 2 best mids for some time. The Hickmonts, Golding and Vanirsen are our next generation, so we need to get plenty of game time into them. Will be a different setup for the mids now we have an actual true ruckman in AJ to take that role and free up Dela if he plays on.

Was just talking to a guy at the cricket. He's seen nearly every subi game since 1943. His word is that ajang ajang is not coming. Seems to have been a rumour.

Told me some interesting stuff about Sokal's goal kicking stats (very good) and his similarity in style to a Austin Robertson.

He also told me in the 40s and 50s the top four was the same for a decade.

Similar today. I wonder how many more Subi grand finals the wafl can take. Let's say we are in the next 10. Would the wafl fold or would other clubs get more determined?

Perhaps the wafl will become a coastal competition. With Very few juniors east of freeway.

the  EPL has a history of 4 club dominance and yet is as popular as ever. But kids play soccer all over the UK.

That would be disappointing if we dont get AJ, we have not had a true ruckman since Zac Clarke, Dela has been terrific but mostly around the ground, he gets pummelled each week against the bigger stronger rucks that most other teams have, only need to look back to the 2 finals against Souths where Higgins dominated at the stoppages. If we can get AJ or another proper ruckman it might encourage Dela to go around again next season.

Mate Subi just won a flag....very very comfortably....without AJ or a designated ruck....against a side with the best ruckman going around......so I think Subi will adapt and adjust.....LOL......as for Dela....the lure of a 4th or 5th flag might encourage the big fella to go round again in 2022......
