I think Elbows is a bit thick really.  Surely he understands that if you ask someone to vote for something, but you refuse to tell them why, it’s only human nature for people ‘whoa, hang on.  I’m not falling for that’.  Plus he hasn’t done anything to prove he’s trustworthy.  Thick as shit.

Albo first told us he would be holding the referendum for the voice at the next election, then suddenly we are holding it this year in a stand alone election costing 75 Million bucks.

Someone made a good point the other day, why not settle the Australia day question at the same time and ask everyone if they want to keep the 26th?

 

'Australia Day' is Nsw's 'Foundation Day', which cannot be changed federally in terms of affecting NSW. In that sense, the debate in the rest of the country is silly. Naturally, if I were a New South Welshmen, I would want to keep the day observed across the state. None of these activists would want their birthdays changed to others, either.

It was orginaly Proclamation Day in NSW, don't be surprised if that goes and our Foundation Day goes as well as they all "really bad white things".

It is against the spirit of the constitution too, in the sense that most powers affecting people's lives, are from the states not Canberra's so it has the potential for a power grab. Are the premiers awake?

Bazza I think the 'blackwashing' started a long time ago, even before Rudd's apology.

If the Voice means that all AUSTRALIANS take responsibility for their respective roles in our community, society and economy then that will be a good thing but frankly it isn't going to happen.

The ABC for a while now has been broadcasting on what aboriginal land they are broadcasting from. My niece’s partner works for the transport dept, every Monday morning they have a meeting and before the meeting starts, they have to deliver an Acknowledgement of Country.
