Interesting to read the wording of the referendum question. Apparently not set in stone as yet. The parliament needs to vote on the final wording in the middle of the year. Then the referendum can be held in October or November. Have heard the federal government now spending approx the same amount of money on the yes and no arguments.

So now after being told for months this would be just about advising parliament and reviewing legislation, we are now told they will also be able to advise the executive directly. So a direct line to the inner workings of government that no one else will have. Getting even more concerning.

Get this Albo has set aside 75 Million just to get the referendum up and running and another 160 Million on "stand by" just in case its needed. This is just a tiny fraction and an indication of how much this dud of a thing will be costing going forward.

The Government has lost me on this one as they refuse to come clean with all the details and costings apart from a feel good gloss over thats supposed to get us all to agree. The idea of "trust me, all will be well" doesn't cut it for me.

The Robodebt fiasco has been revealed and yet none here seems to wnat to come out and say what a bunch of self serving lying toads they were/are.

This isn't about politics or whether you dress to the left or right Anchy...it's about 3% of the population being singled out in the Constitution ahead of the other 97%. Indigenous Australians are already recognised in the Constitution along with everyone else. It's divisive and unnecessary.

The LNP had to be brought to the table telling and screaming. Egg On Legs saw he was in a loser by not agreeing.

But some they are not prepared to bring up. Robodebt,  submarines.  
Robodebt because the outlaws were found out. How many hundreds did they force into debt and even worse suicide. 
Not making comment on subs  because the Faith Healer began the process.
But prepared to get stuck into the Government over something the previous government's should have done before.

As this thread is about the Voice I won't stray over onto Robodebt or anything else. Based on your comments, it sounds like you'll be swayed by the position of the political party you follow rather than make up your own mind on whether to vote Yes or No.

As for me, I don't care what the pollies have to say as I'm not convinced the Voice will do anything for the plight of Aboriginal Australians and will just finish ups being a bloated bureaucracy and a cash cow for lawyers representing disgruntled groups who whinge they weren't consulted enough before a decision was made.

Albo had a cry today announcing his underwhelming wording...after refusing to meet a group of Anti Voice Aboriginals from the desert and top end the day before. 

Cost of living soaring, pensioners could of done with some help but no worries $200 mil plus on a referendum for a pointless change.

Meanwhile lefty former greens and indigenous senator Linda Thorpe was out again clashing with the cops and rolling around the parliamentary lawns in some sort of anti women trans protest.  

The place is turning into a basketcase.
