I don't think they're doing too badly AR when you consider they're overtaking the UK as the world's 5th biggest economy by GDP, are nuclear armed and powered, and have a rapidly emerging middle class.

I was there for work in November and due to go back again next month and can tell you the place is going through the roof.

Have noticed the current prime minister has backed himself into a corner. It appears he would prefer the yes vote to succeed. A couple of weeks ago, it was stated most people in this state would vote yes. Is startling to think that when the question isn't known yet. Makes one wonder what happens if the referendum gets a majority of no votes? Perhaps the federal govt will pass legislation through the parliament effectively bypassing the referendum decision? That opens a whole can of worms in itself.

So the yes campaign has been given $850,000.00 to sell the THE VOICE, the no campaign has been given nothing. So far its not a fair campaign. Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price does not support THE VOICE, it will divide the nation. BTW, its not THE VOICE in PARLIAMENT, its actual title is THE VOICE in PARLIAMENT and GOVERNMENTS. WE will have a voice in local council.

I predicted that this thing will know no bounds, I see now the SA Gov are suggesting they will have a state based Voice with no referedum they will just force it through parliament, watch this space as every state and local gov ends up with one , good luck getting any mining, development or progress through with this BS holding everything up,

Not sure Gollum Sneakers will do a State voice, it may slow things down and put a dent in his "precious" $6 bill pile of surplus gold that he sits on, not allowing anyone to touch, particularly those pesky Nurses and Cops.

The original paper outlined the Voice will receive input from all levels of government across the country. So you'll have representatives from state and local government as well as indigenous groups sending through advice to the federal Voice panel which will all be funded by taxpayers. Paul Murray wrote an excellent opinion piece in The West a couple of weeks ago on this subject.

stop using his terminology lads, 'the voice' was a song; rather, it is an ill thought out constitutional proposal for a supposedly serious country.
