Sadly, In 100 years the US's handling of this pandemic will be a case study in what not to do if you want to avoid the dire consequences of disease. History will judge Trump harshly for his ego centred buffoonery and politicising of this emergency, refusal to listen to medical experts until now ( far too late) and his constant attack on the media for asking him what are reasonable questions that reflect peoples justified anxiety. The only "fake news" is what comes out of his mouth. The latest is him spouting the malaria drug as a possible remedy which has been proven to be utter crap.

On another matter hopefully Boris Johnson can pull through his illness. Sounds as if it is a pretty serious case now.

I also thought that the Queens address to the UK the other night was inspiring and morale boosting. Amazing from a woman who is now 93. She is a real leader of people unlike the cretin in the US.

It is Trump v Science and it aint going to end well. Picking a leader from the shallows of the gene pool (again) has come back to kick them in arse (again) big time.

if the Americans lose 220 thousand people it will be about 0.1 per cent of their population. I agree 100 per cent on Johnson -- he has been unwise trying to work and recover at the same time.

Im more staggered at the crap Trump comes out with, Sure China caused the problem and need to be blamed, but they wont help the US, and wasn't it the last week Trump was singing the praises of the Chinese President after a meeting...

I notice he has now stopped naming it the China virus.

I’m not obsessed with tracking and researching everything Trump does or says or tweets. Seems to be an obsession for some but I saw a press conference a couple of days ago with him, Pence a medical expert and maybe one or two others. Looked very slick to me, I couldn’t fault it, Trump stepped aside to let those he thought were better qualified to answer. I don’t think it matters to some what Trumps says or tweets they will find fault.

He had to stop calling Cov-19 the China Virus Baz.Chinese where getting beaten up on American streets.Some where also attacked in Hobart last weekend.

I see the Senate Hearings have carved up Trumps reopening plans.

Fauci and the Doctors have warned they will be in for a world of pain if they go too early..
