Interesting comments Bazza.Never thought about the renogication of transfer fees. Some of thoes players in the late 70's early 80's demanded massive transfer fees.

Stand by for a rough ride - WAFC McEagleshenry is about to strut his stuff

He's making his decision this Friday AND it carries into next season by the report today

This will be exactly like that Arse Cooper & his alignment decision - reeks of the same

Actually it is 3 year contract with 7 :( So the decision will be in for at least 2 years.
Oh for the old ABC again... no shit.

So effectively it will mean WPFC wont be televised for the next 2 years. Not a problem though as our gates are looking good this year and half the time 7 doesnt do a WAFL game anyway.. None this weekend and I see the game next week will start at 0120... best of luck to the 2 teams that get that.. It wont be the GAME OF THE ROUND WP V CLA :)

The game of the round this week will be SD V CLA... Broadcast on ABC RADIO. Lucky them
We have 91.3 down at Freo..
And next week 91.3 are doing the game of the round WP V CLA...

Lucky us we have the PREMIUM BROADCASTER 2 weeks in a row. :)

Not that the WAFC MORONS GIVE A FARK

No mate it apparently covers the Cardinals' sponsorship term with Ch9 from all accounts hence the going into next year statement from McEagleshenry

The WAFC commissioners would of choked on their Cab Savs yesterday when WP set their 2 nd spot in concrete.. It is blatently obvious they were waiting to see if WP could get this spot on the table hence the delays in any decisions. The decision would of been made for them if WP lost 2nd spot. If WP dropped out of 2nd spot they would of just of been happy to see the problem go away

Article in Sunday Times by Liam Bartlett is well done but doesnt say much more than already has been said. Next week should be interesting as now they will have to come to a decision.
Even though with 2 v 3 and Elimination 4 v 5 Channel 7 will take the 2nd option.
If WP win at Home v EP or Peel It will once again become interesting

The first and second semi finals will be 2 games as well so easy option to opt out of WP once again if WP lose Qualifying final.
So dont expect a solution by the WAFC for the next couple of weeks. :(

2015 WAFL Finals Series

ELIMINATION & QUALIFYING FINAL - 5 September weekend

Elimination Final - 4th v 5th
Qualifying Final - 2nd v 3rd

1st & 2nd SEMI FINALS - 12 September weekend

1st Semi Final - Winner Elimination Final v Loser Qualifying Final
2nd Semi Final – 1st v Winner Qualifying Final

PRELIMINARY FINAL - 19 September weekend

Winner 1st Semi Final v Loser 2nd Semi Final

GRAND FINAL - 26 September weekend

Winner 2nd Semi Final v Winner Preliminary Final

I find the tendering process was flawed. Strange I put a extract in a previous post where the WAFC said they were negotiating with 9 and the negotiations were being extended..

WP SET TO FIGHT MOVE THE WEST TODAY

au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/293334...h-set-to-fight-move/

Cant see why this would happen? What would it achieve... they still have game 4 v 5 on the day to televise. More proof that the WAFC has no idea and there decision is brought on by MALICE nothing more.
The more you read the on this issue the more unbelievable it becomes and the more the WAFC is using their power to disrupt the finals at ANY COST.
Games can be moved but the cirumstances must be due to the fact the team or club cannot hold the final game due to circumstances beyond their control. I am pretty sure it happened once before. This is not the case with WP and they should be allowed to play the game at Joondalup and it is THEIR RIGHT.

This is a classic 'us and them' situation that may inspire West Perth to the 2015 premiership. Toddy was a master at this stuff in the mid 80's when he was coaching Swans

And lets look at why this system was bought it.
1. it would save the WAFC money as they wouldnt have to pay to use Subiaco.
2. The clubs would be rewarded for their season position
3. The Clubs would have a huge dollar input from gate receipts, merchandise and catering/bar etc.

Now the way I see it the WAFC are sticking the knife into WPFC in more ways than one.
And lets not forget the home ground advantage at Joondalup.

I cannot see it happening and like the Presidents message about kicking us out etc etc
it is just another attempt by this organisation (I USE THAT TERM LOOSELY) to make WPFC subject them to their demands.. :(

If it did come about I would certainly ensure the WAFC Comphensate the WPFC for this move in regards to the above and it could come to BIG DOLLARS.
The stupid thing is WP could still wear their Chn 9 Jumpers as the game would not be shown on TV the other game would.

It achieves nothing except to create disharmony once again and dissension within our great comp. Well should I say our ONCE GREAT COMP?

I agree the game would be poorly attended at Peel as well due to the inconvenience and a lot of WPFC members just not bothering to attend. Peel would certainly not draw a large crowd. An Alignment side who could be propped up big time considering Freo would release a lot of players for this game.

And meanwhile where is the Sports Minister hiding while all this is going on?
She should be stepping in considering the WAFC is an instrument of the WA GOVERNMENT!

Also politicians only get off their arses when issues directly effect them. I believe the WAFC will wait until the week before the preliminary final before any announcement will be made because the problem may go away, it depends if West Perth win the finals. I do know that some clubs are not happy with South's with their change of support to West Perth and one South's legend has had words with his president and CEO. I also know that were a couple of empty seats at the presidents lunch on Saturday, a form of protest.
