Under no circumstances is it West Perth's responsibility to resolve the current situation as it is solely due to the incompetence of the WAFC. The WAFC should not have abrogated their responsibilities and allow Channel 7 to dictate to them. Mind you when was the last time the WAFC made a decision which was positive for the WAFC?

Thanks mate no one cannot say we didnt try and the injury list didnt look good at the end of the game. I honestly thought when we were 4 goals up it was in the bag for SD.
Cla deserve a pat on the back for their comeback and turned the tables on us which during the season has been our BEST qtr but our bench ran out.
Depending on the outcome of our injuries to KEY players it could be disastrous for the club.

We do have a bit of depth but that depth is running out rapidly.
Subiaco must be Red hot favourites now to win the flag and cannot really see any club beating them twice to win the flag

If went full on in the last qtr, we would have won by 7-8 goals Cardy. Bill said at the 3 qtr time huddle that was not interested in the result and to chip the ball around and conserve energy for next week and beyond. It was obvious as dogs nuts that with the injuries we copped we were not going to risk any further injuries, CL will get pumped next week v the Ferals.

Only real disappointing thing about the game (other than some key injuries) was that Swans will not participate, not our problem though !

I thought that that would probably happen Leedy as West Perth had nothing to gain from the game apart from injuries which they unfortunately did get. I was actually surprised it was so close given how desperate Claremont would have been. Any team like West Perth going into a finals series would have taken this sort of approach.

I thought the instructions at 3QT were ordinary from Bill TBH and wouldn't want Harding doing the same at Swans, there is always something to play for and WP although finishing 2nd are 4 games second! So haven't set the world on fire and I would rather not flirt with form injuries or no injuries, that is what depth is for, not a great way to go into next week I don't think, but don't get me wrong I am on the West Perth wagon and hope you smash all in front of you from now..will be monumental beating $ubiaco though when it counts

Just listened to McHenry on ABC WA Sports talk. He obviously has a problem and it stood out while he talked... He stuttered , got tongue tied and adlibed the questions given to him.
He Said one thing in answer to a question. Corbin I think asked him if a clause was in the contract with 7 ...and WP were informed. He was then asked to confirm this was so and basically said No it wasnt etc etc.

He was in complete disarray.. Would love to get a podcast of this and put it on here.
I tried to find the Sportstalk show on Computer but had not joy as I was going to do a grab.

The Integrity of the WAFC is at question.
They have thrown everything at the WPFC.. Including kicking them out of the finals and Not having a home game etc etc ... These THREATS have all been cancelled...
WHY???? Because they know if it ever went to court their lying and false statements that are untrue would come to light.

Believe me they are running scared and that is obvious... Mr Mumbles McHenry proved that today in the interview..

You can now see now why when other organisations and Media approached him and the WAFC for a interview IT WAS DECLINED.

Your right Growler re the threads on this topic becomming numerous because IDIOTS dont bother to continue on with the existing topic. Looking at the title of The other topic I would say the originator is Brain dead.

I will continue on this topic.

Falcons breach WAFL licence

The link for the West is located at

au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/wa/a/29440919/...breach-wafl-licence/

Makes it a bit easier to read than cutting and pasting entire article.

2 parts of the article in the West which is tied in with 7 on this issue are totally incorrect and false because at the time of WPFC signing the sponsership with Channel 9 did NOT know 7 would be the broadcaster.. THE WEST SHOULD RECHECK THEIR TIMELINE !!!

The Weekend West can reveal a timeline of events going back to February last year that shows West Perth and Channel 9 knew a sponsorship deal would be in conflict because Channel 7 would be the broadcast partner.

WAFC chief executive Gary Walton said West Perth was warned “well in advance” of the club signing a three-year $300,000 contract with Channel 9 that the deal would cause a conflict.

The commission is alleging that west Perth doctored the original contract when they asked to be provided with it again, that's one hell of an accusation and a criminal offence I would have thought, fraud or something. This could get ugly!

I put it to you that the WAFC is making up their stories as they go along and have made misleading statements that are not true. I suggest the WAFC if this ever went to court would lose their case and not be able to prove that conditions were in place.
I suggest they are running scared as they know this and keep comming up with different stories that will come back to beat them on the arse.

Listening to McHenry on Sports Talk ABC McHenry contradicted himself and stumbled and mumbled his way through the interview.

It is quiet evident now why when requests have been made in the past by different Media outlets in Perth HE REFUSED TO BE INTERVIEWED.. This speaks for itself.

This statement was made in the West Article.. So can he show this in writing??? I suggest not! Verbal he could claim... Yeh right. He Said She said does not stand up in a court.

McHenry claims

He asked the Falcons to include an opt-out clause for the 2015 and 2016 seasons while final details with Channel 7 were being confirmed.

Strange that over the last few months of this Saga this was not mentioned and other threats were made... Kick you out of the finals - No home finals for WPFC etc etc.
Yet NO MENTION OF THE ABOVE???

Come on what a farce
