Mikel I was talking about this bit. How could it be a combined Royals and Eagles when East Perth did not have access to all the Eagles WAFL players? ( e.g. Hutchings)

Yep, that the last true WAFL GF , and with just 20,000 turning up to a Perth derby GF.,you can forget about any more 30,000 plus WAFL GFs in future.

What a fantastic win, so much sweeter to beat the regals. I said to the boys I was with that Rohan Kerr was the X factor and what a guess. Black closed Selwood down and Hutchy was a well deserved winner of the Simpson. How many times did Gordy get the ball out of the centre. Thank god Chris Keunen didn't have a migraine. I can go through all the players but all I can say well done Falcons, you bloody beauty.

Well done to WP. Played a real hard at it, hard running game all day and turned it on in style at the end.

You boys seem to like being the underdog in a GF v a side with AFL blokes in it don't ya. ;)

Blaine Johnson for SF got the BOG medal for the ressies with 5 goals from 8 kicks and I reckon Kerr deserved it for WP in the league but Hutchings was pretty good as well.

Felt the rain helped WP the most as it nullified Johnson, Lycett and Smith as their stats show also.

Sat in the outer after watching a colts loss and a ressies win for my DOGGIES and must say I really enjoyed the hard contest for the first 3 quarters. Some tough stuff in those packs for sure.

Well done to Bill Monaghan. We go back to when his young fellas were playing footy at the Jandakot Jets FC - a good bloke, well done Bill on your flag.

To Cardy and his mob, congrats boys - you were too good when in mattered and it mattered over the last 3 weeks.

20,00 was very disappointing, should have been at least 24,000 even with the weather but I think the days of 30,000 crowds are well and truly gone now.

Well done WP - Go SF in 2014 =)
