Can't make my mind up about this game. It should be a ripper. I was leaning towards East Perth early in the week, so impressive were they in the Preliminary final but as the week has gone on I have started to like the chances of the Falcons more. Firstly they have had a weeks rest, so they should be running on stronger in the last quarter. Secondly the weather may be quite wet and windy which will negate somewhat the Royals big man strength. Thirdly there is the weight of history which says it is notoriously hard for a first semi final team to win the flag, it hasn't happened for 30 years. for these reasons I will tip West Perth to win by 2 goals, but it wouldn't surprise me if I was wrong.

Agree Mike I walked out of CLA oval last week very depressed and sure EP would win the flag after demolishing the Minor premier and Major premiers over the last few years.. Have thought about it a lot and realise now that CLA and WP are like chalk and cheese in playing styles. CLA actually looked very lethargic in their game and WP rarely give up easily.
Our last game v EP was on a wet day I noticed the EP big men performed poorly due to the Wet ball and heavy conditions. Now we have a Dockers game,Colts and ressies game before the BIG one..
Weather not looking good. I would like to think WP will be the team to beat even though the Bookies and tipsters disagree.
It could turn out to be a close one as well... Shit not like the Geelong/Hawthorn game I hope. Geelong were a kick out of that one.

Looking forward to the clash.. I am a bit worried that Bill will put Pettigrew in as he only last half a game in Ressies a couple of weeks ago and his injury is definately not right. Johnson is not up to it either from what I have seen in his last 2 ressies games and others preferred.
We have to go in with a fit team and we have the players are there who are fit. Teddy had a reasonable run in the Reserves but nothing to write home about as well.
Oh well we will see and it is the match committees call all I ask is we put our best 22 out there to be a chance

Certainly better to play fitter less experienced players in a Grand Final Cardy than an slightly dodgy experienced one. You might take a risk with one player, but certainly not two

geez another Dr D comment.....tell us oh MR PhD, who these 20 AFL listed players are who played in that farce last year?......also tell us out those 20(?), how many were drafted into the AFL from EF/Cl?.......and played over half the season with EF or Cl......

2019....doing my best here to tell folk that EP AFL contingent is part and parcel of footy today in the WAFL.....folk aren't fussed overly if the AFL listed boy is locally drafted and plays, it's the freebies that are thrown a clubs way for nothing that pisses most fans off......good on ya though for getting that PhD in B.S.....and you are putting it to good use like your mate Dr D is!!

Agree re the flag. If EP win it certainly wont be on THEIR clubs merit but a stacked deck. Jury out will see what happens. Let the war begin
