Great stuff West Perth. Fantastic win by your boys; it was not only a terrific performance by a highly committed West Perth team, it was also a win for true WAFL footy.
Even though I support another WAFL club I always look on with envy at the never say die team spirit that is always present within West Perth teams, regardless of where they sit on the ladder. I hope my mob can emulate it one day.

This club has always amazed me as they really do not have a lot of money, but somehow have managed to stay competitive on the field for many years, I have put it down to the great culture and spirit around the place, those are things that money can't buy.

No doubt Nisbett and the boys were stoked seeing Hutchings win the Simpson. I guess it's true that every cloud does indeed have a silver lining. I wonder if Nelson will get a look in draft wise this year, another 30 plus game, perhaps a rookie spot with say...........WCE perhaps? Christ wouldn't that be interesting to see?

I hope Wulff decides to retire because he is a dirty feral player. He certainly cleaned up Jay Van Berlo who wasnt the same after the head injury from the Elbow from Wulff. He got off for a similar incident last week that was definately a elbow to the head and I went to the SF game where he cleaned up a SF player who had to leave the field.

I will remember him for that. Even the commentator said Wulff has elbows of titanium... Maybe he has a bit in his head as well. The game doesnt need filth like that and GOOD RIDDANCE.

Thanks Dennis for sticking up for the WAFL.. You always have.
No 1 ticket holder at WPFC as well...

I just told you that to tell you this: Didn't West Perth look mighty fine wearing their white Stetsons in yesterday's WAFL grand final win over arch rivals East Perth!

Make no mistake the Falcons were the good guys in a game that will be remembered as the last meaningful grand final in WAFL history.

If nothing else the Falcons scored a memorable win for the disenfranchised!

And Simpson Medallist Mark Hutchings, destined to be an East Perth player next season, displayed the same poise and concentration he showed throughout the game to avoid walking off with the wrong group of blokes.

Terrific young man and good luck to him. He is now virtually assured of winning back-to-back premierships at different clubs.
Of course the WA Football Commission has suggested it will safeguard the

integrity of the competition by "constantly monitoring and tweaking".

The commission has moved into doing stand-up!

Cheers Dags, it was a ripper day to say the least. Swandog and myself were missing a voice today, never seen a Swanny barracking so hard for the Falcons !
