Sounds like this white ant could be a number of things....a free run off half back, a stronger AFL lifeline, an ex WAFL premiership winning coach...no doubt others on here have different white ants scenarios to those above...

Well done to SF for doing the right thing, by playing by the WAFL rules and securing those two players from a weaker club then themselves, to strengthen and fatten their 2019 GF playing squad...imagine if that had been that other club, who played in that 2019 GF, recruiting those two boys from a weaker club....shit and fan come to mind me thinks

Let’s be clear, Perth didn’t have to clear Ninyette. He was ineligible for transfer- regardless of his contract status.

it is quite visible & very , very understandable there are frustrations on Perth & East Fremantle's respective sides of the fence
Perth footy club has spent a considerable amount of money & resource over the years on the player and have provided valid well paid contracts throughout this time - they have had not one single reason to alter their 2020 plan with that but somehow they now have to due to an outlawed action and as a result have at this late time , no meaningful avenue to make replacement and that would piss anyone off
East Fremantle were pretty quickly and officially informed they had no grounds to gain a signature on one of their own contracts because there is already one binding contract in place at the WAFC office , shouldn't be any shockwaves about this but granted it would be peeving

Not sure why he's going bananas now.

Please explain.

I'm all good STT, reading the criteria for Eligibility for transfer- Ninyette was ineligible, the same as Leggett. I haven't seen Perth play much but I thought both would be similarly rated as players. So i'm not sure why one has been easily catered for and the other hasn't. Yes, Leggett has a contract. But if Perth had've said no to a Ninyette transfer, SF would still have to go through the same process that Leggett did. Thats my understanding from the Rules and Regs on the WAFC site.

If he has an issue with Perth that saw this go all the way to arbitration, why would he go back??

You blokes have fucked it- it’s what shit clubs do

You guys are out of touch. Fair enough that he’s contracted and can’t play at another WAFL club but if he doesn’t want to play at Perth surely he can play at North Fremantle??

Have another look at my post KFC. I did not say he could not play ammos.
Indeed, I said “let him play ammos”

My mistake.

There’s been some sort of miscommunication along the line. The word was he would never go back, even if he lost. Perth obviously thought he would. Surely they were talking to him all along and had an understanding of the likelihood of returning?

Wrong again, Perth knew he wasn't going to return, they effectively played this out on behalf of the competition so the thieves in $ubi and now the Ferals with big $$$ can't further rape and pillage contracted players from other clubs.

Of all the Perth people, only Smokester has refrained from make believe Buffalo innuendo and hearsay during this Leggett saga....please explain ....or at least provide some proof of what the EF buffalo has been whispering into Leggetts ear...

Leedy Perth have come out on top mate, so not sure what you are talking about...they have kept the WAFL contract sacred....which as you say was a necessity to keep the comp from turning into a monetary free for all...not too sure what can be added to top their topness any further mate in this saga...besides Cody suiting up for Perth, winning a state guernsey, kicking more snags then Masto from half back, winning a Perth premiership and then securing an AFL contract for 2021.

It would be folly in it’s purest form to suggest that incentives have not been offered to Leggett.
Of course they have but the question is what and by whom.
Was it the coach, the football manager, the CEO, the President, the janitor.????Was it cash in a brown paper bag, white goods, maybe a bogus job in a car yard? We know he was given a rent free home to live in. All the EF scribes have told us all about that. We have also been told of guarantees that he would be a better chance of AFL drafting by playing half back for the Sharks.
Yep, the protests that there is nothing to see here are pure folly.
Let’s call it the Shark’s Folly.

Be interesting to see if lLeggett can fit into North Freos points cap. They were very close to maxing our last year and are rumoured to have added an ex-AFL player and another WAFL league player
