So Leggett postponed the meeting with PFC due to training commitments with NF.
His arrogance knows no limits. Having been told by the Arbitrator that he had a binding contract with PFC, he still thumbs his nose at the club.
He has been in breach of his contract by not attending pre season training at MRP.
Some are calling to clear him and take the money. I say no.
I say if he wants to play ammos let him. We should continue to stand firm on the principles of a binding contract that were upheld at arbitration.
His AFL ambitions will not be helped greatly if he is wallowing in an amateur competition.
It will be interesting what develops in his meeting with PFC later today, if he actually attends, and how the club handles the matter from here on.

What a disgusting joke if that is true - Perth should be preparing a court action to recoup costs & damages

should not be allowed to play Oz rules anywhere other than Perth FC including Amateurs

Hey?

You guys are out of touch. Fair enough that he’s contracted and can’t play at another WAFL club but if he doesn’t want to play at Perth surely he can play at North Fremantle??

I'm pretty sure he can apply to go to ammos and if refused by Perth it again goes to the Arbitrator who is bound to consider the interests of football and the player. You would think under those circumstances Leggett would be cleared to NF.

Have another look at my post KFC. I did not say he could not play ammos.
Indeed, I said “let him play ammos”

BC, it is not the intent of PFC to prevent him playing ammos. He does not even need a clearance.
But he is in breach of his contract by not attending training with PFC, and not attending that meeting with the club because it interfered with training at NF is the height of arrogance as well as disrespect for the club.

My mistake.

There’s been some sort of miscommunication along the line. The word was he would never go back, even if he lost. Perth obviously thought he would. Surely they were talking to him all along and had an understanding of the likelihood of returning?

I could be wrong Smokey but I think he does need a clearance to ammos. Here's an extract from the WAFL regs.

A Player may be registered at a Primary Club in the WAFL however they may still play for a Community Football League. This ensures that Community Football Leagues receive the benefit of quality WAFL Players in their games where practical.

Players may register through transfer in accordance with Rule 1.4, or be granted Temporary Registration with the WAFL Club in accordance with Rule 1.6.

1.5.4 Appeals Regarding Player Transfers a) Where a Player appeals on the grounds that he is entitled to be removed from the Player list of one Club and placed on the Player list of another Club, or transfer to a Community Football League, the WAFL Arbitrator will consider the interests of football and the Player before making his decision.
