The integrity of the WAFL and player contracts have been preserved. A win for the WAFL Clubs and all WAFL players. A huge loss fo EF.
EF have a lot to answer for. All along Perth have said that under no circumstances will Cody be released from his contract. That means they have been speaking to him and enticing him without the consent of PFC in breach of WAFL rules and regulations.
He has been badly advised and those responsible should be called to account. He should not allow them to mess up his life any longer. Surely he is smart enough not to trust them again.
Spot on Smokey they have led Cody down an embarrassing path. Swan Districts tried to do the same remember with Aaron Elari? Aaron played out the last year of his contract but looked like he didn’t want to be there. Phil Smart probably sold him the same AFL line. He ended up at Swans a year later but probably only played 2 and a half seasons with Swans and lost interest and ended up back playing in Cervantees. I reckon he retired from the WAFL a few years ago now probably only about 25 or 6.
Hopefully Cody has some discussions with the right people. Right now he’s probably pissed off.
