Firstly, it has been mentioned on several occasions that Cody believes that PFC have breached their contract - yet no one from PFC, EF or Cody has explained how or why? Surely if true, this part of the story would have been broken or are our "west" journos simply that bad?
Why were EF even talking to Cody who has a contract and on the required player list.
Looking for potential hairline cracks in a contract is opening up a can of worms for all players to shop around for another deal with a security blanket of still being contracted.

Lastly, and most importantly how can Perth win this? If we win the case, we lose Cody anyway. It seems to me that PFC lose either way.

Yes it would seem that way except in the unlikely situation where Cody decides to rejoin the fold.
We are going to lose an experienced 1 point player. Sure, we get the cash but we are one player down and a replacement player of the same experience and ability will cost more points which are limited since the WAFL in it's wisdom reduced our points cap while increasing EF's. No win, win here.

PD 1899, I'm sure PFC would be professional enough to take Leggett back. It's up to Leggett whether he's professional enough to go back. If he wants to avoid a thick black line in permanent marker being put through his name by AFL recruiters, he's going to have to.

He is damaged goods now and his loyalties lie with EF and their coach. It would probably take a sit down with a few Perth team mates he’s closest to, to let him know he’s welcome back but his mind has been poisoned now. It would be like trying to get a close friend out of the grips of the Church of Scientology.

Firstly you’d have to kidnap him in the dead of night while Bill is snoring out of that one bunk Hilton on Moss, then we’d have to send him away to rehab to clear his head of the brainwashing he’s been subjected to.
Get on your bike.

PD...of course Perth wins even if you guys lose Cody ...you guys have all said from the start PFC needed to stand firm and set a precedent for the club and the comp....so is that not the case now?....you win the case and every player at Perth and every other WAFL club knows you mean business...that's a win surely?

Anyway I was talking from a Perth's posters perspective....not the clubs...as for convincing the EF fans that you guys were right all along....Naagh don't think so, all you guys have bleated on about is Cody has a contract....Cody has a contract..and lots of make believe stories with no proof what Bill said, what EF is offering and the kids living arrangements.....this has always been between PFC and Cody....if he loses the WAFL loses a talented player, more then likely for a year...if he wins EF simply provide him with another avenue to keep him in the WAFL....

That is pretty rich coming from you Joker.
It has been you and your EF cohorts who started and bleated continually about Leggett’s contract and his grievances under the guise of friendly banter.
Free rental property, PFC breached his contract and keep him from playing with the club of his choice, how he has been promised he will play at half back to enhance his AFL prospects et al ad nauseum.
They were all your make believe fantasies mate.
It is not a matter of who wins or loses. It is a matter of due process and for that the matter seems to be in the right hands.

Personally, I read some of the posts as an olive branch for the Perth people because I think everyone has had enough of this subject. But poor old stt, being the bitter and sad person he is, sees it his way.
Surely by now with the season just around the corner, we can argue about something else?

What I meant by it’s a lose lose situation is, if we win the case surely Cody won’t play for Perth. Surely he would play country league, interstate or not at all. After all this trouble he has caused, surely he would be to embarrassed to show his face at training.
And if we lose the case, he plays for EF.
Either way we lose.

Rather pedal then peddle STT...

Smokester....pretty sure it was a WP fan who enlightened us about Cody's living arrangements, also 100% sure it was a few Perth peddle pushers who have fantasized about Buffalo Bill and his Cody whispering techniques....plus the ins and outs of EF monetary offers...the only common ground we share is that JT informed you about Codys half back fetish and me that Cody believes PFC have breached their contractual agreement....thus the need for an arbitrator to decide this stand off between Cody and the PFC....hopefully we will look back in time and have a laugh over a few beers, reminiscing about the PFC/Leggett saga.....irrespective of the outcome....
