Yes AFL i was there and gave a match report.

I do see on wafl online that wally was mentioned in the Ressies - but maybe he played both - i know that isn't done anymore but I saw someone out there during the league game wearing his number and he looked very ordinary.

Can anyone else say they saw him in the league. I didn't go to the resizes so I would be surprised if I got this wrong. Not amazed but surprised. There were a lot of faces and numbers to get use to no doubt.

You have got to be joking? Maybe you were off getting your face painted or playing on the bouncy castle while the game was on. The guy wearing No. 56 yesterday was HAYDEN TANNER and if you reckon he was average then what would you say the rest of them were like?? He played better than most, has a good kick on him, runs in straight lines and gets the ball.

His game, that of Sinclair in the middle and Jacob Payne's effort were about the only positives from what was a horrific performance yesterday.

Yeah I had him mixed up with Walley

Fortunately I wasn't able to make the game yesterday so can't comment on how we played but looking at the game stats bar scoring you wouldn't think we were on the receiving end of a near 100 point loss.

Interestingly we had more hit outs and only 7 less inside 50's so obviously not making the most of our opportunities.

Seven of our players failed to get their hands on the ball 10 times compared to the Swans nil. A fair more even team performance by Swans.

O'Sullivan who prior to 2014 was more than serviceable looks to have had an ordinary start to the season, yet should be one of our leaders. From what I've seen of Hug if he is on our best 22 we have not a snowflakes chance in hell of being a competitive side. He tries hard but kicking isn't what is required at league level, he doesn't hurt other teas when he gets it, unfortunately he is no orphan

Hope we can put on a better show at home next week

O'Sullivan played exclusively on Davis for the entire game and did a good job.

Billings, Irons, Browne, Bateman and hopefully Hodge at some stage will help but the problem is there is just nothing to aim for up forward.

We just didn't run anywhere near as hard as Swans were prepared to do. The work rate was farkn pathetic in that first quarter.

Busher goes to Claremont. What did we get in return?? Anton Hamp runs around in the twos for them. Go figure. I just can't understand how we let blokes go for sweet FA in return. Time to move the work experience CEO on and get someone in who knows how to run a football club....and returns calls.

You would think at least one thing the club can do right is get the correct players names against the jumper they run out in. I could cop that the week before in a scratch match but FMD it's a disgrace when it comes to the home and away games. Football Manager, Football Director, CEO - lift your bloody game!!

In fairness I understand there was a mixup with the delivery of new jumpers from the manufacturer with some numbers missing. A bit harsh to blame the club.
The Colts list had two #17s. Perhaps a printer's error.
The club is copping it from multi directions including you and me DD. Maybe we should cut them some slack on some matters. Let's not kick the horse too hard when it is down.

Tanner was okay, far from the worst
Hug struggled
Arangio took 1 good mark in the first quarter apart from that had a tough day.
Got to give these young one's a chance

Wow Demon Strate you are most insitfull.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

No point in writing a pile of dribble TFAF
Hopefully these young blokes will be given every chance to improve and develop, which is not that easy in a team that is being badly beaten

I hope the team(s) can dig deep this week and find something for next weekend. I'm not going to throw the towel in. Other teams suffered bad losses this weekend, too. Let's focus on making next Saturday different and hope the players have the pride to rip some bulldog hearts' out next Saturday. Draw a line under that one and as a group promise each other never again. Go Demons. Make us proud.

It seemed to be a weekend of blow-outs and average performances by teams with higher expectations

That's not to take away from the opponents because they showed exactly why they deserved their wins on the day and great play be them all

I say this as I am sure that Perth will bring greater intensity and play to their games as the year unfolds
While I know its been a long hard slog and not the easiest of times for the Perth team and especially supporters, it is the last point that needs to be made
Perth supporters need to stick with their team, to show the younger ones that they have loyal followers and vocal positive supporters
It means so much to players to have the crowds applaud their efforts and to congratulate their on field performances, even when they lose, its a spirit lift to have the supporters atleast clap them off when they have done their best.
