Blayne Wilson would be an interesting one.
I wouldn't have thought he was a tall defender.
He's listed at 188cm which is shorter than Billings.
I thought it might be Chris Luff at 193cm played 43 games.
Only 8 in 2013 injured - left the Club because of alignment?

DF......Valenti would be a great get for the PFC and the WAFL in general.....talented cricketer too......you guys would be doing well to prize him away from a successful culture like Port.....gotta be in it to win it tho......if he is the mystery gun midfielder dazzler is posting secrets about...dont tell those Subi boys tho.....they can be awfully persuasive at times!

The tall defender was to be a replacement for Risol. At 188cm Blayne Wilson does not fit that role. He would be shorter than Billings and Kane IMO.
We needed more height down back last season and we need it even more now that Risol and Kane have gone.

The young kid is the only one on the list that fits the bill.
Then again he might not have been on the list this year.
Who knows.
David Johnstone would need to get fit and step up so I don't see him as a messiah.
I don't think we have gone about our kids in a fair manner.
We just haven't got them fit for league footy.
That's why they don't progress I reckon.

I would hope that if we sign a big point player from another wafl club he'd want to be good.

We do need 2 KPP's down back (not to mention up forward) and i reckon Wilson whilst not 6' 4 may be ok at Full Back with a taller option at CHB..or where the taller defender dictates to play Wilson then fills the other role.
Its about the talent and being a genuine defender,at 6' 2 and a bit he may get away with playing as a KP tall where others at a similar height may struggle??

Smokey Wilson at 188 is the same height as Nick Kane,2cm shorter than Billings and 3cm shorter than Risol.
Not a lot in it.

So after looking at other clubs defenders and possibilites the one i come up with is Blayne Wilson,delisted from the Eagles and i doubt very much he will go back to Freo's aligned club and his club of origin Peel.

And maybe the gun midfielder (as indicated by Mr Afl} is Ben Ross delisted by Hawthorn and is a former winner of the JJ Linston medal in the VFL.

James Magner is another midfielder worth a look,a former Melbourne player in the AFL is now a top midfielder at Port Melbourne.

Anyway thats my 2 bobs worth and if they are not the players Dazzler is teasing us posters with,then we should be seriously looking at them!!

I said Ben was a player we should be looking at. However he has said he intends to go and play suburban football with his mates and move on to the next phase of his life.
