FMD players fight all the time in the heat of battle, even team mates, especially in pre season when players are fighting for a place on the list. Remember Murray Couper and John Quartermaine tried to kill each other in an intra club scratchie while the ball was 100m away. They hated each other but both had a fierce desire to be winners. We need a bit of that kind of mongrel and competitiveness in our squad.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

I see Peel Thunder have announced Andrew McBean has there new General Manager of Football Operations, replacing Brad Bootsma.

I don't know but something just tells me that maybe our new Football Manager at Perth might be Brad. This is just a hunch though.

It wouldn't be surprising.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

It also looks like one of our Colt's Assistant Coaches Beau Wardman will be coaching the Peel Colts team in 2015.

Jackson Dennis who was Head of Strength and Conditioning this year has moved to Subiaco in a similar role.

That I think sees two people that were apart of the fitness and rehab regime this season leave the club. Jackson being one of them and the fitness coach that Earl elaborated on last week.

Good luck to Jackson I heard that he came under consideration for a role at the Dockers at the end of 2013.

Would he bring his son with him? Josh is a 10 point player, 193cm, ? kpp ?
Any thoughts guys?.
Geez, pre season should be starting by now. We had better shake a leg and get a Football Manager, a Strength and Fitness Manager and a Colts Coach in place pretty quick. Has the Ressies Coach been announced yet?

Even more surprising considering Andrew McBean's long involvement as a sports administrator. He was Subiaco's Football Manager when they won flags between 2006-2008.

Here's a snippet from the article on the Peel website:

Prior to his time at Subiaco, McBean oversaw the football and development at Swan Districts under WAFL legend John Todd, while he also had similar roles at the Western Australian Football Commission and AFLNSW in Sydney.

Recently, McBean was in charge of membership and participation at Triathlon WA, while he maintained close ties to the game by coaching the Ellenbrook Eels in the WAAFL.

With over 20 years’ experience in sports administration, McBean said he learned a great deal from working within elite systems, and he would look to implement many of those facets into the Peel Thunder football culture.

I can't for the life of me see how our fitness staff over the past 37 years could possibly come under consideration by anyone.
Or is it the coach that allows players to kid themselves with preseasons.
One has gone to Subi that is a joke.
Maybe I am blaming the wrong person.
Stuffed if I know.

I think we already have a colts coach smokey. As far as I know this years coach, Barry Stanton will be there in 2015. The club only advertised for a reserves coach at the end of the season.

With everything that happened to the colts team this year I think that they did a reasonable job considering.

Also while Josh may be 193cm he isn't a KPP I don't think. More of a tall midfielder, half back flanker.

If he was good enough to come under consideration by the Dockers and good enough to go to the current WAFL premiers then what happened at Perth????????
