Any thoughts guys?.
Geez, pre season should be starting by now. We had better shake a leg and get a Football Manager, a Strength and Fitness Manager and a Colts Coach in place pretty quick. Has the Ressies Coach been announced yet?

Gee i hope not,the guy is overrated in fact imo he's a spud.and he's not a KPP!
If he came to Perth that would be 4 10 point players and not one of them a KPP,real bad list management that would be.

This club wonders why we are always down the bottom, the appointment and time it took was botched with the late appontment of McMahon and now we are doing the same thing but worse under Spalding.
We just dont learn do we!

As far as im concerned we have already missed out on signing 1 KPP already, the guy signed by WP from Frankston in the VFL.

You guys are classics. Spalding is a good get, the best you guys could attract. You wouldn't and couldn't get him to commit any earlier because he had not finished his coaching commitments for this year.

The off field staff are looking at recruits. Just because WP got another tall from the East doesn't mean you have missed out, their record of tall Eastern States recuits isn't flash in recent years. Plus it has given you guys an opportunity, your talking to a WP zone kid who is disgruntled that they keep recruiting people in to play his role. Has some talent, starred on his debut but has been denied chances in the league team.

Don't take too long though, we may be sniffing around as well!

You have missed the point well and truely!
Its not whether Spalding is good enough its his late appointment and the failings to fill other key roles within the club thats the problem.

We have no ressies coach,no Football Manager,no Fitness people on top of the late appointment of Spalding.
This affects big time the prompt recruiting of players.

What Amateur coach wouldnt commit to a senior WAFL coaching job?
Surely thats the next step for these guys regardless of his involvement in amateur finals he would have known that he wanted the Perth gig and i suspect he would have told them behind closed doors that very thing, that wasnt the reason for his late appointment.
All other prefered candidates withdrew.

Theres a gamble on all recruits as to whether they make it or not the fact that WP may or may not have a good record on tall KP's recruits doesnt mean this guy is going to fail, his record at VFl level is not bad.

I'm not sure why Subi would be recruiting your fitness guy. They were terrific in the GF outlasting a team chock full of professional full time footballers and playing the week before which suggests to me their fitness was very good.

BC, Perth's general fitness last season was the poorest in many years. In fact, there was daylight between Perth and the rest of the competition on the score of fitness and strength.
Whoever takes over for next season will have a huge challenge ahead of him to get the players up to a level playing field with other clubs.

Anyone know what Trevor Williams role will be next year or if in fact he will remain at the club? I think he's a great asset and would be a significant loss if he at least doesn't fill an assistant role and same goes for Andrew Ruck.

DD, I believe that Trevor Williams and Andrew Ruck will remain as Assistants.
I hope that is fact as both bring a lot to the table.
