Like I said, I would be surprised if he wanted to go to Essendon with so much uncertainty surrounding that club. For starters who is going to be the senior coach? Mark Thompson has declared he wants the job. Hird will not step down and team Hird will take Essendon to the cleaners if they sack him. Harveys wife has a good job here and his kids are here.

Obviously PN has read/heard via the media that Harvey is going for an assistants interview at Essendon if thats the case regardless of whether he gets it or not you would think that counts him out as the Perth coach.

I'm gearing up for a major disappointment announcement,sorry for being negative but i just dont have any faith in anything this club does!!

I can still hear the Paul Bevan interview on half time at the footy on the ABC in the last couple of rounds of seasons end and he sounded positive in staying based on the new incoming coach being a good pick-up/choice....and he announced how many weeks ago he was pulling the pin?
It sounded to me he was at least staying put and was not making a decision until after an announcement was made.
looks to me he wasnt to thrilled with the first round of applicants.

That was on CH 7 news last night but I didn't see any footage of Harvey except for old footage in Freo colours. There is that much speculation flying around surrounding Essendon you don't know what to believe. Hopefully we won't be left dangling for too much longer.

Absolutely. I hope he has applied. Let's be honest, its that level of applicant that we'll be seeing in the mix and I'm absolutely certain there are good candidates out there like Maskos, Orsi etc, blokes who had coached with success and come with experience at stable, successful clubs who would be good in the job. Absolutely spot on and I've got no doubt his tenure is a major reason why quality applicants have shyed away from the job.

I have no doubt that guys like Maskos,Orsi etc would be great at clubs either there already or on the cusp of being there.
I think these type of coaches would really struggle with us.
We are a totally different proposition and yep i do understand that the experienced quality applicant probably want nothing to do with us.
So we probably have to be prepared for someone from left field.

There are a couple of figures that were around when Orsi got the shove to make way for their Boy Wonder that are still around. That would be enough to scare him off I reckon.

Orsi hides behind coaches mate, he is a WAFL line coach journey man and is not what you want as a senior coach. It is almost embarrassing watching him turn it on when he knows the cameras are on him !

I dont want Orsi as senior coach either but hey he couldnt do any worse as an assistant than the other line coaches we have!
