Apparently we will be announcing a new coach sometime next week, according to this morning's paper.

Bluey McKenna would be one guy I would be enquiring about at least to see what his future plans are being a West Aussie with AFL & WAFL coaching experience.

Yeah sure boys.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

thus the decision must already of been made then......

not too sure why folk are so keen on Harvey though......surely his style of footy would be more AFL orientated and demanding/taxing than MacMahon's was.......thought that was Perth's downfall over the years, the players lacked the fitness to carry out what McMahon was trying to preach?.....whilst Harvey would definitely command the players respect with his footy CV.....pretty sure he would get frustrated with the obvious limitations in coaching in a semi professional league such as the WAFL..... Harvey has gone from playing at the elite level to coaching at the elite level, with no exposure in between at a lower league, where finances/facilities are obviously more challenging and coaching nous is more notable.....

though perhaps Harves in seeing the bigger picyute with WCE moving in to Lathlain in a couple of years

Anyway one of the guys on 91.3 was convinced he was coaching Perth.

I've got a feeling it might be Harvey. I doubt he would go to Essendon with so much still to play out at that club. If he has given up his media commitments that would also make sense.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

It does seem that an appointment is imminent. Let's hope it is the right one for the club.

"Hey Bluey, what you up to in the future? Fancy taking on a basketcase WAFL club after being involved with the formation of a new AFL club?"

Do you think they may have concentrated on getting a big name rather than the right name? Question only boys...

So Mark Harvey is having an interview at Essendon this week, I guess we can cross him of the list if an appointment for the coaching position at Perth is to be announced this coming week as reported in the West.
