Perth need to be careful about the governance of this selection process. If you are going to bother appointing an independent panel of eminent experts to make the selection, which is a good thing to do, then let them do it without interference. Why you'd have a board member sitting on the panel with the eminent experts doesn't make sense. The selection process and board endorsement or rejection of the nominated candidate should be separate processes.

They've come a cropper before through poor process. I hope they don't do it again.

I agree SD. The selection process should be left to an independent panel.. in this case Dimmer, Haines and Cook. There should be no interference from from the Board.
There has been questionable governance of the process in the recent past. The club must get it right this time. We are all but out of chances.

I agree and i will say i have absolutely no confidence in one of the PFC guys that is sitting in on the process!

Gee its a worry if Mann is sticking his bib in. They've made some horror calls on the last few.

I reckon it was interesting to hear Marty speak during half time of the broadcast game last Saturday. Most authoritative I've heard him sound. Still can't make my mind up if he's as cunning as a fox or as dumb as a post. The club needs to let him run the selection process. At least he knows more about football then the rest of them combined.

What? Happy Feet is on the coaching selection panel? You're kidding me? He was one of the donkeys that appointed McDud and gave him 2 contract extensions. He should be marched out the door along with the rest of the clowns that appointed the last coach. He probably still lives with his mother and lists knitting as his favourite past time.

Mr AFL I watched Nick Lower captain Footscray against Werribee last Sunday, be really handy if we could have kept him. Reckon there is plenty of potential VFL talent available in players who get relegated due to the AFL alliances
