Exactly my point, a bit rich coming from an EP fan who's club sold out because just prior to the latest alignment your president threw the kitchen sink into winning a flag by sacking Glen Bewick when Micale was considering taking on the Perth job and wooed the likes of Josh Smith, Paul Johnson, David Wirrapunda and can't think of the name but a high profile forward from Victoria (Pettard??) and I think you failed to even make the finals. So Bronte put the cue in the rack and sold out to the Eagles. And you have the gall to call us a basket case.

We might be, but at least we are a bona fide WAFL club that stands on it's own two feet and we don't have a filthy rich club president to buy success.

Last time you were not aligned your club threw the kitchen sink at success with a host of high profile recruits and snatched Micale who was seriously considering taking on the Perth job at the time. Your club failed to achieve any success so Bronte put the cue in the rack and sold out. I don't see how your opinion matters.

Sounds like he was swayed by Souths recent form. Good luck to him. Now that Souths are out of the race iit is important the club doesn't rush the decision and if they aren't keen on any of the other applicants then re advertise and canvas people in the industry such as AFL assistants.

Exactly what Marty said on 91.3fm last night. They don't intend to take second best and may re-advertise. He also said that they were getting good advice on prospective coaches from AFL channels.

Sounds to me then that the new coach wont come from the 15 that applied at closing date because a decision would be close if not already announced,imo.

Ludifer why did Curley change his mind on signing with Perth to go with SF?

Perth can't afford to take their time, what are you guys on? You will be competing with SANFL, NEAFL and other state league clubs plus AFL assistant spots etc. Apart from weeding out the crap in admin and on the field (Curley will be sorting that out as of now, not in a months time), you have to entice players and staff. Not having a coach isn't going to help.

Sounds like not many god ones even applied for the Perth job.

I guess that we have to wait and see 30+. Everyone has an opinion, you and I included, and 99% of what we are seeing and hearing is pure speculation.
Whatever they do they will be damned if they go early and damned if they delay. A no win situation if they don't get the right man.
