A bit later in the qtr I saw M. Morton and O'Sullivan in there and we started winning some centre clearances. The players who kicked into the man on the mark from memory were Collard (twice), C. Morton, Stack and O'Sullivan. Also have to make mention of Hunts set shot from 35 out directly in front in the first qtr didn't even make the journey. Not acceptable.

I think right now we sit where we deserve to be. From here its a question of whether we can win more games than those below us on the ladder. Yes where do these clubs find the Cary's, Blakely, Yarrans, Delahunty etc....??

You guys should see if Rhett Mason is interested in playing WAFL again. He's only 23, has played 28 league games is 192cm and played state 18's for WA but hasn't been at Peel since the alignment started in 2013. I wanted Subi to look at him but I guess the points were full or they weren't up for it.

La Hincha,

I think you might find the reason he didn't come across was the deal that you gave to Delahaughnty and Boland from WP grasp !

How can a team in Subi who have been average for a few years turn things around in virtually no time yet for 30 odd years we can't put up a team that can even challenge for top 4? We were miles off them today. Our lack of class, pace, talls and finish were shown up AGAIN. The game was over at quarter time. I don't know why I get so disappointed after every loss. It just should be expected

Thats a real worry isnt it,best squad at his disposal yet we cant knock off a top 4 team and we fail to lift for "big games" where a win means a fair bit.

The deficiencies you quote,"class, pace, talls" have been our achillies heel for years.
They havent just reared there head, yet he refues to recruit to our weaknesses!
Thats why Subi have been able to turn things around.

The question also has to be asked,"are our colts and ressies getting the right skills training because watching the ressies there disposal is no better than the league teams,do we have the right coaches right accross the board teaching these guys properly??

Just compare our spine and on-ballers to the better teams in the comp, they have a good blend of height, class and pace,do we have that??

There is a bloke running amok for Swans named Matt Rogers. Built like a cage fighter, has explosive pace, raking left foot, hits targets, kicks inspirational goals and hands like a vice. Some supporters didn't rate him. How we let him go is staggering.

Two offenders of poor disposal that stood out for me were O'Sullivan who under no pressure couldn'tput the ffooty in front of Stack who would have been 25m out on a slight angle and Hug, who tried a short 25m pass on the members wing that went straight over the skippers head. Bevo dropped his head straight away knowing it was futile to even attempt a mark and I think he gave Hug spray afterwards.

One youngster who impresses me is Michael Sinclair. He has a bright future .

Thanks for the compliment Lucifer..... followed by the back hander. I just want to enjoy my footy. We are lacking ina few areas but I can't question the players endeavour. There is some exciting talent in the ggroup. Love watching Bevo every week. Didn't think much of Cale Morton the first few games but think he might have been played out of position. His last few games have been outstanding. Need to get more out of Mitch Morton and Jarrod is a beauty.

Theres no doubt Rogers is playing better footy at Swans, for mine at Perth too inconsistant and didnt use his build to advantage.
Anyway he's no longer around ditto for Elari.
I think like Elari he just didnt want to be here,we have let far better players than Rogers go in the past.

DD you nailed it earlier. Its a depth problem as much as a lack of quality and talls. Who in the ressies looks like a league prospect that hasn't already been tried? I'd say only Daniel Arangio, Sam Garstone and Scott Doncon. All three need to be given a chance before the season is out.

The fact is we need our very best 22 on the park to be competitive against any team in this league. Two key backs missing this week in J. Morton and the underrated Irons and we look completely out of balance. Poor Jared Risol exhausted himself having to play on everyone from Boland, Wheeler, Hampson, etc. Thank god for Michael Sinclair who has been fantastic since coming back into the team.

The club has completely mismanaged the colts cohort over the last two years so don't expect any talent being fast tracked through that system in the short term.

I reckon lose this week and you can write off another season. That loss to Swans was absolutely unforgivable and we should have beaten WP as well but with a guy in charge who would have to be the most tactically inept coach since Dave Dunbar was around I don't fancy our chances of crawling out of the latest hole this club has dug for itself.

And to that poor bugger in the Pig Pen who coped it for criticising fans clapping the players off on Saturday I'm right behind you buddy. I hate seeing losses being celebrated like wins. Absolute shit that is.

Hey Dazzler McMahon would just about be due for a contract extension.
He got one about this time last season didnt he??

The fact that we cant beat a top 4 team for mine means we can write off another season already regardless of what happens this weekend as EF seem to have there own problems and they are certainly no huge scalp!!

Clapping off poor performances has been a blight on this club for a long time.
Maybe the players are happy with there lot as well?

I said exactly that to the two Subi mates I was with on Saturday but they didn't hear me because they were still laughing their tits off about our supporters clapping the players off after a whipping.

Dazzler, not sure about what you mean by colts mismanagement, as I am not close to the colts.

What I do know is that we have over the years not managed the transition from colts to league for our graduating players.

Other clubs seem to bring on the young players and they seem to come on.

Didn't Swans debut about 4 in one game and they flogged whoever they were playing?

I think the problem is the negativity in the club as illustrated by "yellow footy".

The SD game a glaring example 17 points up in time on and we go defensive. No faith in the players and that lack of faith rubs off on them. We have them convinced they can't play. All we needed to do in the game was continue to do what got us the lead in the first place. Another goal and there would have been no coming back for SD.

Same with the Colts transition, there are a number of players each year that graduate and are not given an opportunity because the coaching staff believe we need to have what is perceived to be our best players out on the ground so we don't get flogged. Too worried about getting flogged to save their jobs instead of trying to win games. Negative, negative, negative, it's bull shit.

We are lacking talls, the sooner some of these big kids are given the opportunity the better for their development.

Let's see what they've got at least we will have given them the opportunity.

Just in case anyone is wondering:
Winning isn't everything, it's the ONLY THING !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I've had my whinge.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
