Dazzler wrote: My 2 cents worth. I think we got the Subi forward match ups horribly wrong in the first quarter with Stack on Yarran who kicked 3 and other chaos going on down there in the first 20 minutes. Once again we gifted the opposition a dream start.

Sending Bush back after 15 minutes, when he looked good presenting up forward, just stunk of desperation.

Subi killed us on the quality of their disposal. Top foot skills. They ran hard. We broke even in contested play but they never missed by hand or foot when we faffed around with short inside handball shit again. They deserve to be where they are on the ladder.

We would have had as much of the ball as them but teams have worked out Damo's once trick pony game plan. Subi were fantastic today at cutting out the lateral kick. Time to see what Fat Cat's doing.

From one year to the next our disposal by hand and foot just doesnt improve.
Kicking into the man on the matk, kicking out on the full, kicking to a lopsided contest.
How many times do the runners go out there to tell players?
I dont see that during a game.

Whats with this bring the ball back into the middle when between half back and wing, turnovers, goals!
We do it far to early and put the player we kick it to right under the pump because we dont have the skills to pin point a pass.

Win next week at home and we are 4 and 4 with a week off. I am afraid we will have to wait untill then.

On some positive notes.

The Bush took some very good marks today and may yet find some form.

Sinclair has grown in stature and is a league footballer.

Collard is good and surly will not kick it into the man on the mark ever again.

Manuel has responded very well after being dropped three weeks ago.

Boyle, Moody and Stack will return to form.

Had our best or second best player out. J Morton. More accurate would be to say our most important player.

Power is very good I think.

Pressing are Houghton, Richardson maybe Kalajzic.

Depressing points

J. Morton shouldn't play this week if it was a hamstring injury. Look at Stephen Hill today.

Hodge 6 games away from a ressies game. 8 from a league game.
Kane a while away.
Leyendeckers a while away.
Irons, well we have no info.
Chance 3 or 4 weeks if at all.

Heard something along the lines of Richardson's dad giving someone a spray at 3/4 time in the ressies game today. The story was all a bit confusing.

He probably thought Reece should be getting a game before another. As do I.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Do you live on Fantasy Island? You do realise we lost today right? Got comprehensively outplayed. Did you see the whole game?

Reece Richo had a difficult day in the Ressies, he turned the ball over badly 3 or 4 times. Did kick our first goal

Had plenty of opportunities at league level this year but looks to me like he suffers from an allergy to leather.

DD wrote: The bleeding obvious is we lack midfield class. At one time I noticed White, Hunt and Hug in the centre bounce. 3 midgets with Dene White being the standout but he's no Ross Young. A bit later in the qtr I saw M. Morton and O'Sullivan in there and we started winning some centre clearances. The players who kicked into the man on the mark from memory were Collard (twice), C. Morton, Stack and O'Sullivan. Also have to make mention of Hunts set shot from 35 out directly in front in the first qtr didn't even make the journey. Not acceptable.

I think right now we sit where we deserve to be. From here its a question of whether we can win more games than those below us on the ladder. Yes where do these clubs find the Cary's, Blakely, Yarrans, Delahunty etc....??

You guys should see if Rhett Mason is interested in playing WAFL again. He's only 23, has played 28 league games is 192cm and played state 18's for WA but hasn't been at Peel since the alignment started in 2013. I wanted Subi to look at him but I guess the points were full or they weren't up for it.

Leyendekkers is a big loss and J. Morton has probably been our equall most consistent player all year to date. Eyres and Power are doing an ok job but if we played a genuine back up ruckman to support Leyendekkers he may not have got injured. The way I look at things is our losses have been narrow, should have beaten SD and lost to the top side by 34 points. My concern is our depth. Our reserves have been quite strong in recent years but are struggling now and our colts are just above Peel.

If we've got a 10 point player running around in the magoos who can't crack a league game by now, we need to cut him loose and be active to find another J. Morton mid season.

Right again DD. It would be amazing to unearth another J Morton type mid year though. And I know you and 30+ and all of us are talking about a big bodied forward thats not a lumbering jack. Main problem is that most that arn't playing a high league now dont want to or are no where near the fitness level required.

BTW has anyone seen young Leyendeckers around the club during the games. I have seen the likes of Nick Kane, Hodge and Chance around and I think that is important.

Havn't see the Deckers though. Hope I am wrong and he has being around and looking interested or that there is a good reason he is not coming along which there may well be.
