What I do know is that we have over the years not managed the transition from colts to league for our graduating players.

Other clubs seem to bring on the young players and they seem to come on.

Didn't Swans debut about 4 in one game and they flogged whoever they were playing?

I think the problem is the negativity in the club as illustrated by "yellow footy".

The SD game a glaring example 17 points up in time on and we go defensive. No faith in the players and that lack of faith rubs off on them. We have them convinced they can't play. All we needed to do in the game was continue to do what got us the lead in the first place. Another goal and there would have been no coming back for SD.

Same with the Colts transition, there are a number of players each year that graduate and are not given an opportunity because the coaching staff believe we need to have what is perceived to be our best players out on the ground so we don't get flogged. Too worried about getting flogged to save their jobs instead of trying to win games. Negative, negative, negative, it's bull shit.

We are lacking talls, the sooner some of these big kids are given the opportunity the better for their development.

Let's see what they've got at least we will have given them the opportunity.

Just in case anyone is wondering:
Winning isn't everything, it's the ONLY THING !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I've had my whinge.

The club had quality people involved at the 16teens level a few years back with that coach at the time unearthing at least 24 state reps a few AIS players and 1 loss at three years. Those squads coached by this particular fellow did not just win they belted their opposition to and average winning margin of around 50points. The bloke was offered a line coaching position and got shafted by leader of football excellence, when IMO he should of had his colts job. Than later to be told he was not what the club needed. Does not like people around who might show him up. :woohoo:

Are you referring to Gino Stefani?

No Dazzler, Gino was only involved with one of those squads as a assistant if I recall it was the first.
The Perth zone has plenty of talent the club just needs people of know how to harvest it. Unfortunately they let This fellow as well as Gino walk out the door.

The super coach as you so put has the runs on the board and is far better than the shite you have down there now. The colts coach now is just a recycle assist from years ago, the demons really amaze me. Then people
Scratch their heads and ask what the
is wrong with this club!

Going back from 2010 I had a look at 16's and 18's representatives from the Perth Football Club.

Went on to play AFL:

Jaeger O'Meara
Dean Kent
Brant Colledge
Fraser McGinnes
Reece Conca

Where are they now?

Chris Yarran
Jack Vlasich
Alex Riiel
Mark Kickett
Dylan Loo

And Clem Smith who probably will go on to play AFL/

From a quick look that's all I could find.

I would put Rogers in the same category as Barry Kimberley & John Clarkson as the best recruit we have ever picked up from Perth that's how highly I rate him!

Yep, I saw plenty of times what he could do with a football and to an opposition player while in a Perth jumper. I reckon you Swans boys must look at each other at the footy and say how on earth did Perth let this bloke go?

Believe it or not DD myself & Swandog where saying exactly that after the game on Saturday ..Rogie is a ripper!

I dont doubt that in a weaker wafl comp Rogers is not a bad pickup but please he wouldnt carry Barry Kimberleys bags to a game, comeon!!
Kimberly Premiership player in a tough comp,Rogers would have struggled to get a ressies game in that era!!!!

Barry Kimberly was a much much tougher hard at it and better player than Rogers, end of story.

Even Clarko was a better footballer and for what its worth Elari has been a better pick up for you guys than Rogers.

Refresh my memory here didnt Rogers get dropped from your team for your 1st semi final game last season against East Perth???
I'm Pretty sure he did.

yes he got dropped when Embley came back in our side.
good on him though, he could have spat the dummy but he got himself fit and has been in brilliant form this year..
I always thought he was a bit heavy at Perth, one thing he has always been able to do though is kick well and getting fitter means he can be a damaging player up the ground, he is now getting 15-20 kicks which means he is working harder to find the footy and pumping it inside our forward 50 or kicking goals..
Elari is a very consistent player and always tries his hardest and works hard every week.

both also play with spirit and you cant ask for more than that.

Bounce, you are being annoying again. Please run along now.
We know you have an axe to grind with Perth but we are just sick of hearing about it. How's it going down at Mandurah these days.
