Has got the height but still looks a little light in the meat department. Would say he's about 80-85 kg's by just having a rough look at him at training. Hopefully I'm wrong and he's closer to 90 kg's :) I'd like to see him (Form permitting) maybe break through for about 8-10 league games next year. Then another pre season and more weight on his frame and more games in 2014 could see him become a good ruckman at the club.

As I said before another ruckman at the club wouldbe great. Someone like Andrew Ruck to come in for 3-4 season while Eyres and Sandilands develop more.

Does anyone have any more info on Tyson Rowling like height, weight what his strengths are as a player etc...

Thanks for that, I hope Sandilands does debut, I haven't had the chance to see him. We need to start developing the kids by giving every chance and not for just one game.

I agree we need a mature ruckman. After hearing that Andrew Ruck was going country I heard a whisper that he could change his mind and that we could still be in there with a chance. That was before Xmas and I have not heard further.

Sorry can't help with any further info on Tyson Rowling other than he played about 12 ressies games in 2011. Will post on the WP room and see if one of the Cardies can help.

A lot of work(recruiting) by the club still needed.

That backline line-up or list of names put forward just wont be up to it,its fragile and lacks height and grunt, its virtually the same as last season and from memory our backline ranked 8th in points scored against.
Houghton would have to do a mountain of work in the gym and on the track in pre-season to hold down CHB,i just dont know whether hes up to it at this stage.

Ruckman we all know take time and years to develop,Sandilands in my opinion has still got a fair way to go,he's still very young..lets see how he goes stepping up to the ressies.

As has been pointed out a mature aged ruckman is a must as is a mature bigger bodied key defender and definately a recognised goal kicking forward.
If Busher is still injured that would have to be of great concern considering he missed the whole of 2012...if there is a question mark over him thats another tallish type that we will be down.

30 plus has hit Perth's prospects perfectly on the head......he has taken the common sense approach.

interesting to read about Sandilands...the kid averaged 1 kick and 2 handpasses a game in the colts, averaged less than one mark a game.....for a fella standing at 206 plus cm, those stats are pretty piss poor. I don't see how some folk here hope the kid can play 8 - 9 league games in 2013....all he can do is tap the footy, he would certainly be a liability around the ground, especially at the league level...plus against stronger bodies his ability to do well at the taps would be lessen too. Leave him in the reserves for the next 2 years, until he builds his game up...if that even happens.

Perth should plonk McInnes at CHF, Colledge at FF and surround them with the likes of Reimers, Moody and Davis.....Colledge to me looks all class and pity you boys only have him for one season....if Busher is fit, then he would be your perfect 3rd tall up front, ease him in gently from a FP, especially since his hip sounds pretty dodgey to me. Colledge/McInness to lead out from FF/CHF leaving Busher in the square to contest a mark with Davis roving the crumbs....

That backline is ok but you're right in the fact we need another tall Key defender. Someone in the mould of players like Aiden Parker, Darren Rumble or even a Tallan Ames would be great

Has been training with the backs during the preseason I have been told. Won't be able to gage how he is going until intraclubs and scratch matches kickoff around early to mid February.

As I said, if his body is upto it and his form warrants it would like to see him get some games in the League side to further enhance his development.

As has been pointed out a mature aged ruckman is a must as is a mature bigger bodied key defender and definately a recognised goal kicking forward.

A TALL forward who is capable of kicking between 50-60 goals a year is a must. I didn't put in any of the eagles or freo players we might have playing with us in 2013 as I didn't see much point to it. This is the main squad that we will have to work with going into 2014 so if the Eagles and Freo players in 2013 can have an influence on results then that's all well and good, but you have to plan for when they leave in 12 months time.

A couple of names to scrub of these lists that i have heard over the xmas period from people very close to the club are Busher- apparently slight hiccup is more than the club letting on.
Zucconi/Billings - not playing.
Leon Davis is staying in Northam and will NOT be playing at Perth this year.

As for Sandilands he needs to lift his work-rate/ability from a couple of seasons ago, he was struggling to get a possesion at colts level in the amateurs.

Have heard Busher had a hiccup. Heard Zucconi and Billings won't be there but were training up until Christmas (are they staying or just training at the club) and Leon will make a decision early January on whether or not he plays in 2013.

It was more of a list of what we could have if everyone was fit! :)

Mr AFL my point with the backline you named is ...its virtually the same one as 2012 that leaked through the second most points in the comp.
We are 2 kpps shy in that area.

My opinion and i said this last season, until we get our spine right we will struggle, from full back down to full forward that is our biggest weakness. The only spot i see down that spine as being "ok" is the centre and maybe where McInnes lines up and as we know he's only a short term prospect for us.

As it stands right now our player losses far outweigh the gains.
