And what happens when those players get called up to the AFL DD.

From their team this year, Ainsworth, O'Neill, Jamieson, Trew, Foley and Sinclair were the only players that are contracted to the AFL side to play over 10 games. Out of those players, O'Neill is the only one that isn't from a WAFL club originally.

Why have players coming in and out and disrupting our side that aren't even going to play more than 50% of games.
Only interstate draftees will play for us. Could have any of Petracellii, Duggan, Bailey Smith, O’Neil, Rioli, Witherden, Jones, Edwards etc….. Luke Shuey played a game for the Eagles reserves this year, got 38 possessions and they knocked off Subi.

We have NO Perth players on the Eagles list and unlikely in the foreseeable future while other stronger WAFL clubs will get a few Eagles playing for them.

If we get to have an allocation of WCE players we should take only those who are likely to play 10 or more games and who we see as fitting in to our squad structure and complimenting our own players.
I would see probably Smith, Edwards L, and O’Neil.
Any we do not see fitting our structure and/or not likely to be available on a regular basis we should respectively overlook.
We do not need players who might only clog our ressies. We must have players who are available, willing and fill a need in the league side.

Anyone who thinks it will be unsettling, I don't think anything can be more unsettling than copping 22 plus injuries in a season.

Nothing more unsettling than having players coming in and out at the whim of selection at another Club.
Even more so when they miss because they are in Melbourne as an emergency.
No more than 3 or 4 under our control.
Time for us to grow up as a Club and play the game other Clubs have been playing for decades.

It's not every year you get 22 injuries.
I think some good came out of this year.
Out of necessity some players got to show us what they have.
It also gave Moss the opportunity to make a few decisions about our future.
He is obviously going to be prepared to give youth some opportunities.
Good on him.

Apart from O'Neill, Witherden and Edwards who got opportunities this year at AFL level most of those players you mention played majority of the season or a fair chunk of it at AFL level.  Rioli after a preseason you would think would be back into the Eagles 22.  What would the point be just to have Luke Shuey play 1 or 2 games for us.  When it comes time for the finals, if we are good enough to make it, they aren't going to release him or someone of his calibre, even if said player plays 10 games for us at WAFL level.  Just like they did with Connor West.

And of the interstate draftees most will likely be 18/19.  Are the ready to play senior football let alone have an impact.

Who are our top end players?
Fraser McIness
Brady Grey
Michael Sinclair
Hayden Busher
Josh Smith

All injury prone. Without them we don’t have like for like replacements.

And you naysayers have all said I’d agree to 3 or 4 or go back to the old model where interstate recruits are allocated in a reverse draft among the bottom four clubs. Aren’t you all a bit hypocritical? You are still accepting Eagles players but you can’t handle if it’s based on some sort of agreement with the Eagles. And by the way, if we have players drafted by the Eagles and they drop back to play for us, THEY ARE EAGLES PLAYERS. Once they are drafted they are no longer WAFL club players. I just find the hypocrisy here quite funny. Get over yourselves with your fears that somehow we are going to be tainted or taken over by the Grim Reaper.

A correlation between our urgent needs and what we can expect from WCE.
We need a ruckman, a tall defender, a tall forward, a small forward, a tall defender, a midfielder.
Where are they coming from ? Perhaps Bailey Smith, Witherden, Edwards,  Brander Rioli.
Yep they would do the trick?  We would be very lucky to get two of them allocated to us IMO.
There may be several ressies boys who may step up. Big opportunities for some.
What we have to do is get out their in the recruiting jungle with due diligence, relentless pursuit, smart negotiating, paper bags and white goods, and whatever else it takes to bring what we need on board.

You can discount Jarrod Brander, he was delisted and looks likely to end up back home in Victoria. Have you got deep pockets Smokey? That's quite an aggressive speech. What makes you think some very generous people who've been putting their hand in their pockets over the years are happy to keep doing it with poor results?

Don't expect your club to go out on an aggressive recruiting spree if club members and the infidels who've suddenly decided to become members and supporters from other clubs fearing a strong Perth manage to slip through the back door and vote against the clubs wishes.

Enjoy the status quo if that's what you are going to vote for.

No agression at all DD. Well no naysayers or hypocrites. Not many, if any from those I talk to. We all want the same from our club and that is sustained success and restoring the club's culture and passion.
I may have been a little tongue in cheek but I was simply highlighting that we cannot expect huge improvement simply by a few players allocated to us by WCE. There is no guarantee of ability and commitment from them.
I think that I made my point that based on previous experiences with allocated players they have made little impact. Sure there have been odd ones who were very good contributors..Butler Sullivan and a couple of others. We cannot rely on the availability or performance from allocated players. There is nothing in the colts' cupboard and although there will some ressies who may step up the outlook is not bright. To date we have Chopper Mayne back but he alone is not the answer although he will add great strength in the forward line or through the middle.
We have a heavy shopping list to fill and a WCE allocation alone is not going to come near to filling the basket.
I have highlighted 5 recruits needed.  We have to fill the order by a sensible, aggressive and reletless campaign with the whole club backing it in... Board, coaches, patrons, sponsors, members and supporters.
The alternative will be "same sh+t, just a different bucket"
