perth footy club dont want members involved! bob our president said the communications will be improved between the the club and the members and i recon it has got worse, hear nothing from them! i read two days ago the club rooms are getting approved but not heard a thing from the club

alot of those memberships are kids memberships and free ones for the players parteners, we would be lucky to have 1000 full memberships i think

You sound like you have an axe to grind Perthboy. Maybe fair enough. I do remember talk about communication improving  and it certainly hasn't. 

Very difficult to put a spin on this year but Bob has  a golden opportunity to talk about the club rooms, the scoreboard and the zones. Surprised and disappointed he hasn't.

Someone on here must know him or someone else at the club.

Next weeks Thursday training or the following Thursday (last session of the season) they should invite us all down, put on a bit of a spread and show us some proposed plans and give us the proposal they put forward about zones.

i know a lot of people down at the club, everthing i hear doesnt come from the club! they tell you nothing! when the PD logo came out not many supporters like it but did they run it past the supporters first? no they do what they like and thats it, ive just about given up talking to anyone there because they just feed you crap!

I read in JT's article from Monday that WC are only putting in $1mill, I thought they had committed to $2mill.
the funding breakdown is:
$4mill from the Feds
$4mill from the state
$5mill from ToVP
$1mill from WC (which is pin money for the richest club in the AFL.

That apart, it sounds like a great redev with PFC facilities and community facilities, same idea as EF & Cl redev's. 
Mentioned demo by mid next year and completion by late 23. Detailed designs yet to be done. Lets hope they include a roof over the grandstand seating unlike Claremonts open air seating.

As predicted due to rising building costs the money allocated isn’t going to go far enough and it looks set to be delayed at least 6 months until more money can be found/granted. That’s sensible so we don’t rush it and get it right.

Sounds like its fallen through yet again.

Bizarre they came out a couple of weeks ago and said it was all go.

The article stated that they still haven't settled on a final design option. Once that's done then all the detailed construction documentation needs to be done, then the tender process and once they know the contract sum they will need to get more dollars, so at least a 12 month process just to do that, maybe more given the current overheated construction sector.
Take their time get the best option and do it right the first time.
Given the $40 mill and $25mill being thrown at the 2 Freo clubs ovals, the $8 mill just for the WP members, millions spent on Claremont and Rushton, their should be no reason not to increase the funding for the Lathlain redev.

Exactly, the return on investment for the government at Claremont Oval is huge. 

Won’t see anywhere near the same return from any money tipped into Lathlain.
