What has happened to the new administrations promise of better communication? We haven't heard from the coach, or president in months. Even the mini videos featuring players have stopped pretty poor.

I'd love to know the answer to that question as well.
I think everyone needs to write a few questions down, officially send them to the club for response at the AGM.  I will be.

Agree entirely with all these comments. From an outsider's perspective, the club seems demoralised. We are almost certain to finish last, on the back of 11 consecutive losses, in a season which promised so much. As a result, crowds are dropping off - 700 last week v EP, even though an away game, is deplorable. All this would seem to make us vulnerable to entreaties from the Eagles. If we are stuffed financially, if we can't see any prospect of on field success in the foreseeable future, call it and fold the club. Better that than to enter an alignment and pretend it is still the PFC.

That said, even if we did hear from the club, it would just be the usual platitudes: the players still have belief, we are excited by the young players coming through, etc, etc.

I've approached 2 senior club officials in recent weeks and among other things asked about the future facilities and got short sharp answers. In other words they didn't want to talk about it. Not a good sign. One answer was we don't have the money to build what we want to have and the other one said it's out of our hands, it's up to the TOVP.

Personally, I don't care about the new facilities. My main concern is that TOVP and the Eagles may use funding as a wedge for an alignment. I'm then concerned that the Board will try to sell it to members as the only way to upgrade facilities.

I have no doubt it is hard being a footy club administrator. But, I repeat, if we are getting to a stage where our on field future is bleak and finances are tightening, just pull the pin. Fold, don't align. And don't throw us a bone by having the Eagles reserves have a little Demon head on their jumpers, or "PFC" at the nape of the neck, the way Brisbane have "FFC." Clubs fold. It's sad, but it happens. I'd rather have a defined history, Perth Football Club, 1899-2021, than limp along with an alignment.

Better still, I'd like the Board to come out and assure members that I'm catastrophising, that an alignment is out of the question, finances are sound, our players are all fired up for next year, and we are actively recruiting to cover deficiencies.

My hope is every Perth and Wafl supporter writes a question/ and or questions on a piece of paper and sends
them to the club. I find this story disturbing and the sooner answers are forthcoming, the better.

Membership numbers keep on an upward trend…..
Conspiracy theory only or is the club under a branch stacking threat?
Adds to all the current mystery.

The most disgraceful aspecrt of this is the Club's silence - what ever happened to the promise of better communication!   Why would you renew you membership?

Interesting, I know at Collingwood they have a rule where you have to be a member for two maybe three seasons before you are eligible to vote on matters. This is something WAFL clubs should look at.
