Thats why his nickname back in the day was Cassius Cable, after the greatest sporting self promoter of all time.
Cable always talked about how good he was, but he could certainly back up his words, at least from a playing pov.

Yep he signed a footy to auction for charity, before he handed it over he insisted wrote every accolade he had received all over it in texta, all the medals, games, gfs you name it, like he knew them by heart, it was almost hilarious in a way.

I can tell you that Barry Cable showed us skills and how to play the game when we were at school. I didn’t know much about the bloke but he was strictly football with us, I just knew he was a bloody good wafl footballer. Lorne Cook also came to the school, I still remember him in his Claremont attire. I feel for the Perth supporters, I would be devastated if Bill Dempsey was accused of the same or even the great Stephen Michael from south’s.

Freezin is on the money with his comments. The Brits also hid a PM, sadly. Having been down to Perth over the years, last thirty, I can say, club the has never eulogised Cable. It is more of a Victorian thing. He would be in the  top two or three to have played in WA

Lucky man Winger, wish we had those sort of blokes come to our school! We had Dale Reeves haha what a funny kent, he showed us how to win fights instead of games and how to king hit the wrong bloke. Seriously I wouldn’t mess with him though back in the day

Funny story about Dale Reeves DG. The season after he got rubbed out for whacking Cormack in the GF he came down to CBC where I was playing Ammos. The late, great Peter Cattalini was toying with the idea of getting him to suit up with us although not sure how that would have worked given he was rubbed out for a zillion years at the time.

I always remember that he must have put his footy shorts on when he was 5 and grew into them as they were they were the tightest I've ever seen and he certainly had Warrick Capper covered. When he farted it sent a ripple down his leg they were that tight. :-)

Someone earlier said it was now seven accusers that have now come forward. I think it is still just the five.
I still am shaking my head that someone can be blaming young kids for being the reason these alleged events happened.

Considering Cormack weighed about 30 kg less then Bomber, can't fathom how Reeves could even mistake the two.....the .only way SF would of won that day, is if Reeves had been able to count properly.

Surely Cable will have to go down for this if found guilty......it's a pity those allegedly protecting him at the time, can't go down with him......
