26 new cases today, that's a big increase by WA standards. The next few days will be telling, perhaps the horse has already bolted before the Emperor closed the barn doors.

Also those who think opening the borders will solve our shortages of health professionals, can you please let us all know where these mythical health workers will come from? None will come from the east, they are almost over the hump so will be looking to find some shorter shifts or time off rather than coming here to deal with what they have just left in Vic or NSW. Overseas?, nah they wont come here for the same reasons. WA will get omicron big time just like over east and overseas and our broken, ignored, under funded forgotten health system and it's heroic workers will just have to make do. Stay safe and well everyone and a pox on the unvaxed, may their omicron be all they believe it wont be.

DG  yeah they have been fallin over themselves to be in the good books not argument there as have lots others, what part is inaccurate well that depends on who use as a drip under pressure, I just do not accept anything from the worst, I even check the football scores on the WAFL site.

                 And with cases currently on the decline in the eastern states too. Last sunday the national total of 86000 cases for that day. Yesterdays total cases being almost 54000 for the day. Most of said cases being reported from the eastern states. Hopefully the daily total keeps dropping. And as they come out the other side and move on, cases will rise here. Currently WA has no forward plan and is a bit like a confused rabbit at night stuck in the beam of your cars headlight. Many fail to see the eastern states could easily slam their borders shut to WA if cases rise too high here. No one will be able to travel to WA if that were to happen. And the state governments latest admission very interesting.

How about this for a plan, we have omicron and the number is rising and that is the plan sort of like letting in and being controlled, herd process just like NSW and VIC but just not as out of control.

Reports are that th WA Gov are looking at how SA have approached Omicron with open borders but some reasonably strict controls on the size of gatherings square meter rates and the like plus masking up, vax passports and QR check-ins everywhere, rather than the open slather no restrictions that NSW & Vic have done, but are now going back to some restrictions.
