So international flights are coming in today for the first time since April 2020 including Darwin, but not this backwater for another 10 days.

No just making a general observation. But my business is affected when there are no tourist’s into the state and if it’s ok with Mark I’d like to travel again and not have to quarantine when I return and have confidence I won’t be confronted with another closed border while I’m out the state or the country.

be a shame if borders were closed whilst you were away though,
but im sure you will be missed by someone.

Also, DD remember that at this stage you need to be tripled vaxxed which mean most of the world and half of Australia can't visit. (Internationals can get in here unvaxxed but can't do much when they get here).

I wonder what states most people will attend?

Spot on Jake. All other states only require double vaccination from overseas travelers so that rules us out from any knock on visitors from overseas visiting the east coast. If you ever want to enter politics and sabotage the tourism and hospitality industry and cripple national Perth sporting teams then Mark McGowan has designed the blueprint on how to do it.

On the whole I agree Sneakers has done a good job with Covid, I was really not fussed about any rush to open the borders, we are in a better possie than any other State, and the NSW State Gov is on the nose big time there, recent By elections show people just are not happy with the way they have handled it.

As for the GST, that fight went back a long way before Sneakers and Woodside Wyatt came along, sure they signed the final deal but it was well on the way to change prior to that.

Sneakers might have managed Covid well but apart from that I am buggered if I know what he has to show for 5 years in power we still haven't had a single major infrastructure project up and running, we now hear the Armadale line will be closed for at least 18 months ( make that 2 yrs ) while the never ending metro mess is underway, this is on a system that they are so desperate for people to use they had to drop the fare system to 2 zone payment ( if you live in the 2 zones you pay for all the fringe dwellers ) as folks are walking away in droves.

There's a 70 a day cap anyway, that's a tiny number.

That's only for the unvaxxed and they will need an exemption and need to do 7 days hotel quarantine.  Need to be triple vaxxed to get in here but not sure if he's putting a limit on it, haven't heard of one and they don't have to quarantine.
