You can shove the Commonwealth Games. Spend a heap of taxpayers dough on stuff that will be used for a couple of weeks and then become a liability and attracts stuff all tourists and there's already more than enough tourists in WA without the infrastructure to support them, basically, tourism ruins things as far as I'm concerned.

Rubbish, the Commonwealth Games would be fantastic. I think Beatty Park has had a ton of money spent on it though not sure it still has the 10m platform. Optus stadium would be superb and on show to the world. Great equestrian facilities, Swan River for boats and canoeing. Absolute no brainer. Would only take someone with no brains who hates sport not to see it.
