Clearly we have a Premier who is NOT prepared to live by his own rules. A do as I say not as I do kinda guy. What a truly gutless wonder. Wants a video link from his cushy office in his Ivory Tower in WP for his defamation trial defence against Clive Palmer so the gutless prick doesn't have to do 14 days in isolation when he returns and no doubt doesn't want to face the media scrum ready and waiting for this prick in Sydney NSW, the state he's from that he has been bagging the shit out of during this whole pandemic.

What a slap in the face of those forced to play by this gutless pricks own rules. This bloke has got absolutely zero credibility, that is for certain.

McGowan’s bid to avoid own Covid rules: www.news.com.au/national/western-austral...37cbaf64448d55f62e06
Calm down Princess.  Sounds like he is doing what every person in the state is doing,  not travelling because they don't want to catch COVID / quarantine.   Sounds smart to me.  You sounds like one of those flogs on the news sending death threats to Mcgowen's family.  Grow up.
Court cases in NSW / VIC have been done via video link anyway
The real princess is people like you who thank Mark for keeping me safe. Do you sleep under a weighted blanket? He’s already been told he has to attend in person and also told his text messages about Clive Palmer will not be suppressed. This is a bloke who thinks a different set of rules apply to him. He is on the nose and pissed a lot of people off. The wheels are in motion, soon it will be runaway train. His days as premier are numbered as are your days living in a cocoon.
I thank Mark for keeping us all safe for the past 2 years, you ungrateful turd.
If its so bad here, why don't you leave, there are zero restrictions on that.

Also have you met the state Liberals?  I dont think he is in any danger.
Aside from that i enjoy listening to him at press conferences, he reminds me of Ross Lion

That's mature of you both. Instead of this childish adulation of McClown, why not drill down into why he's pushing the opening up date back? If you did, you'd see it's because McClown hasn't done a single thing to prepare our hospitals for the inevitable as outlined by the national head of the AMA in his article yesterday. McClown shouldn't be patted on the back for his slogan of "keeping us safe" by closing us down, he should be criticised for not doing enough to get us ready for what is certainly coming. Delaying the opening up date is just pushing most of us who double and triple vaccinated into the danger zones as the efficacy of our jabs starts to wane over the coming weeks. That will make the situation even worse when we do finally open up but I guess the blind just cannot or will not see.

Lol is that all you bed wetters have got, if you don’t like it leave? I’d say with confidence you lot are now in the minority in case you haven’t read the room. Every medical expert who isn’t closely linked to government has slammed the border opening delay as has big business and now our doctors have started a petition against McClowns latest decision.

What more evidence do you want this is just a cover up by McGowan for his own incompetence at managing a proper health care system and dealing with a pandemic. As AMA president Omar Khorshid calls him, a one trick pony.

McGowan is nothing but a fear mongerer.

BC  I have a reasonable question for you, well I think it is, can you find me a government who has had a health system that has coped with the pandemic, improved its health care during the pandemic and ensured that it has all the staff it needed so that the DR's, Nurses, Paramedics and Ambulance staff are able to have time off to ensure they are not overworked or stressed. Also find me a jurisdiction who doesn't produce the vaccines, Rats and other stuff required for protection but has had enough to cover all the requirements during the pandemic, in other words they had to rely on other nations for supply.

This not abt defending it is abt context for both McGowan and Morrison.

I think you will struggle, my point being both have not been as successful at this as we all would like but at least one has done bit better at protecting his population than the other, sorta like winning cos you made less mistakes but not many good plays!

BC, please tell me how the McGowan Government could prepare WA Hospitals
over the last 2 years for the inevitable?. Considering other Hospitals worldwide, not just Australian wide have been under the same COVID pump. What do you suggest they could of done better? The NZ Prime Minister has done just as much as McGowan, thus her tread slowly approach.....there is and never was enough staff in the first place to deal with the effects of COVID.....

Sadly DD, the only bed wetters here mate are either the frontline Health Staff here in WA looking on what has happened in the UK, USA, Europe etc and thinking fark that, don't get paid enough to deal with this shite....or folk sitting in the  COVID nose bleeders like yourself, so far away from the COVID frontline, jumping up and down saying enough is enough, open the borders....if COVID is inevitable and to some folk just a mere variant of the yearly flu.....come on down, suit up and help the depleted frontline Health providers deal with the inevitable.

I'll answer that for you Grump. Firstly there is no such thing as a perfect health care system, we all acknowledge that but the reality we have a crisis, a pandemic and it's governments job to respond and put measures in place to deal with a crisis.

That doesn't mean shutting up shop, telling people you can't move around the country or the globe and not come home or if you do it's going to be 14 days quarantine.

There was a time yes when we all slammed those who were traveling overseas for weddings and bringing the virus back into the country with them.

But we've moved in from that. We are now more than 90% double vaxed and we need to get our freedom back, not be locked in our own backyard by a fear mongering premier who refuses to accept responsibility and roll his sleeves up and get to work.

When there is a crisis human beings are very good at adapting and rallying to the cause. McGowan is playing the safe option and failing to deal with a pandemic head on.

The other states who have been bold will be better off for it in the long run including their health system who knows how to respond to a pandemic.

Your Premier McGowan has fostered a let's play it safe approach and a culture that we don't have to push ourselves like the rest of the country and the world has had to do. I fear he has fostered a new generation of nancy boys that are a bit precious. It's a damning indictment on our nurses that they told government to push back the date and Nurses Union president Mark Olsen thanked McGowan for the move.

DD, I am sorry but you have not answered the question you have as per gone off onto your own agenda and issues.

It is a simple question abt a quite complex issue,

I wait for BC to respond but thx.

Interesting listening to a senior Doctor interviewed on one of the news programmes saying he personally knew of a dozen doctor colleagues who had planned to come to WA to work after Feb 5 given they would not have had to do iso. Now with the changes they will have to do a week in hotel iso and a week of approved home iso and I'm sure his story is not an orphan. Surely these desperately needed health professionals should get easy exemptions of being fully vaxed, a test prior to travel, a test on arrival and iso until a neg result!!
But if your some sleazy pollie you can do that and get into WA with ease.

Not sure how NSW or Victorian health services are going to be "better" for it in the way they threw their health workers under the bus......already fatigued mentally and physically before COVID, you think they are going to come out bouncing eager to work post COVID DD?....a lot of folk are going to re-evaluate a work life balance.....especially in terms of their mental health.....can see a lot of health professionals taking some time out to restock.....most likely under the mental health umbrella.....thus depleting the Health Service in many states even further......Interesting to hear of those Doctors keen to come to WA post Feb 5th due to no iso.....obviously lured by some big bucks...wonder if they were frontline roles or sitting in the COVID nose bleeders....
