Thousands of people who attended the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday may have been exposed to COVID-19 after two people who were at the race tested positive.The Victoria Racing Club (VRC) announced the cases on Friday.One was a contractor who worked at the racecourse on Derby Day and Melbourne Cup Day.The other was a patron who attended Cup Day.Both people were fully vaccinated and the two cases are not linked. !!!!!!!!

If you leave it up to those punters who are sitting on the fence and don't really care if the place opens up or not we'll never get to 90%. What he should have done is say the place will be opened up on either 1 January or when we get to 90% whichever comes first. That way those fence sitters won't want to risk getting sick and will flock to be vaccinated and I reckon we could open up towards the end of December in time for Christmas like the other states.. The only one's who will resist are the die hard anti-vaxxers and they can cop whatever comes their way. McGoo has squibbed again by not making hard and fast time frames. This is all very wishy washy imo.  If we're all still locked up in June of next year sitting on 88% it will give me no satisfaction at all to say I told you so.

This is becoming a international embarrassment now.

Today was the low point in what is now becoming a tragic circus of clowns.

A plan not to have a plan was the best way of describing McClowns road map to no where today.

90% over 12's - WTF, not a single state or territory has achieved that target, ACT got to 90 but at over 16, and the ACT is a long way from WA.

The chances of our State ever reaching that with our regional issues and indigenous rates being stuck at about 30% are zero any time soon.

You can forget the whole State reaching 90% of 12 year olds and above by Jan next year, not goner happen.

Pilbara is at 13% double vax for aboriginals - dream on Mc Clown.

Best we can hope for is metro with some regions closed down.

So 2.6 Million WA people are going to be held hostage by the 250k that are not vaxcinated.

The thing that make me mad is the double vaxed people have been shown NO advantages or incentives for having done it early freedom wise.

WA is Hopelessly trapped with this nutter at the wheel for years I'm afraid.

What you blind followers of Dear Leader of the Hermit Kingdom fail to understand is he's not keeping us safe at all...he's just delaying the inevitable.  Covid will be in the community at some point and we'll be subject to masks, lockdowns, limits on numbers, venue closures and everything else that goes with it...it's just that we'll be 6 months behind the rest of the country.  Our numbers will be less than say NSW and Vic but that's to be expected with our isolation and lower population but we will still have deaths and sickness in the community no matter what he does. So if you think we'll waltz through this without experiencing everything that's happening in the east then you're delusional.

I am bitterly disappointed in the the timeframe put forward by the Premier. Whilst my disappointment is not at the level of the vitriol displayed by some on here it is pronounced.

I expected that 90% would be his benchmark and that he would expect that but I expected that those who are fully vaccinated would have restrictions removed and that we/I would be able to move freely around the country and internationally with the same freedoms extend to outsiders,

There is no real incentive for folk to get the jab, the incentive is to ridicule and berate which just creates more issues,
