The health sector must be pleased as punch that there is a surplus, or would be if the Govt actually funded it properly. Piss poor effort with vaxxing in WA, near to or the worst vax rate in the nation. Only in the last week or so are we seeing any serious effort to increase the rate. There is only one way out of endless lockdowns and thats via the vax. FMD even blind Freddy ... sorry, I mean Gold Standard Gladys can see that.

A pommy mate of mine just told me in the uk now most are double vaxed and they have opened everything up and it's a case of bad luck if you get crook with covid now, that's life nothing we can do about it

DG, this needs to be published more widely as it's large portions of the younger gen that think Covid is no big deal. They may get crook but nothing worse than a bad flu so why vax? Well this puts things in perspective, they could be risking major future health issues. Instead of whinging about their selfish loss of freedoms, go get vaxed, it may save them from a lifetime of bad health, that as an aside, will cost the economy huge dollars to treat them. Personal freedom means very little if your health is crap.

A very interesting article that like Senior said, it should be disseminated to everyone.  At 17/18/19, I thought I was 10 foot tall and indestructible and I’m sure kids today think the same.  Thing is, we weren’t faced with today’s pandemic.

Does anyone think that the NSW government's approach has been the best way to control the COVID-19 pandemic?

Also, why did Greg Hunt say that the federal government has always supported states' actions in fighting the pandemic when quite clearly the federal government opposed WA's action in closing our borders when they joined Clive Palmer's High Court challenge against the WA government?
