So I noticed McClown last night on 7 News say at this stage there is no plan to extend the current restrictions beyond the 14th but suggested mask wearing might extend beyond the 14th depending on health advice. He then goes on to say "what I see out there on the streets is EVERYONE IS WEARING A MASK"!! No shit Sherlock, so you think the reason behind that is it is a requirement and we face a $1000 fine if we don't? The idiot acts like it's an option and everyone is choosing the wearing a mask option.

He and the Health dept will cop a severe backlash if wearing a mask is extended. It should be knocked on the head immediately.

Funny that the much vaunted Victoria strategy so roundly suggested as the way to go when he put in the lockdown recently is still leaking like the proverbial. Yes the holes are coming from issues new to the problem but it seems that the most effective way to deal with this virus is stop folk from transmitting it, even London is starting to see the effectiveness of it and we all know that the English as the best at everything.

But hey folk can do what the see fit given the views and understanding!

Yep La Hincha.

On and off lock downs every few months, are totally unsustainable.

Masks on, Masks off...

Gotta be more realistic with this long term.

The Labor party cracks are widening. What an embarrassing cockup saying they were about to sign a lease with the YMCA to house the homeless. Total political spin aimed at appeasing the punters. One problem, they had not been in discussions with the owner and in fact a sale was pending to a new buyer.

What happened to that state housing apartment block at the other end of Wellington street next door to the Four Points Hotel? Now it's a patch of grass. It wasn't that old, pretty sure it was built in the 80's/90/s. Did some government decide it was not a good look having a state housing block across the road from Perth Arena? Another total waste of tax payers money down the gurgler.

The old Swan Districts hospital also has great potential for the homeless and poor of the Midland area. But no, methinks the only people winning out of this will be the property developers.

$120 Million down the drain in 5 days to the WA Economy. And that doesn't include the partial lock-down and second week mask fiasco.

Kids one full week behind in school.

All for one single case with zero spread.

CMO on unexplained sudden leave, sounds like someone wanted to give her the blame for the stuff up.

Who's crunching those numbers? I'd say it's cost our economy a lot more than that.

I thought McGoo took advice from the CHO Dr Andy Robertson, he's the one that has been side by side at McGoo's pressers since Covid started although he seems to have gone MIA lately. Yep, no doubt McGoo is looking for a fall guy or girl. Couldn't be Mr 88%'s fault now could it?

Just listening to reports from Vicco where they didn't do a quick short term lockdown and now have 12 cases associated with the 2 hotel workers so it's out in the community.

Should they have followed WA's lead? They are now facing restrictions for at least a month rather than the 1 week full lock and 1 week with masks that we did.

Up to 13 cases now and the Vicco government is considering a short 5 day lockdown. Maybe they should have acted earlier like WA. I think Vic will be acting too late and are looking at a lockdown longer than 5 days, especially if the tests show its the UK variant.
