Why would you be doing things on the fly when you have had this long to plan it ?

Quoted from the Mayo Clinic

Most people who have coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) recover completely within a few weeks. But some people — even those who had mild versions of the disease — continue to experience symptoms after their initial recovery.

These people sometimes describe themselves as "long haulers" and the condition has been called post-COVID-19 syndrome or "long COVID-19."

Older people and people with many serious medical conditions are the most likely to experience lingering COVID-19 symptoms, but even young, otherwise healthy people can feel unwell for weeks to months after infection. The most common signs and symptoms that linger over time include:

Fatigue
Shortness of breath
Cough
Joint pain
Chest pain
Other long-term signs and symptoms may include:

Muscle pain or headache
Fast or pounding heartbeat
Loss of smell or taste
Memory, concentration or sleep problems
Rash or hair loss

Organ damage caused by COVID-19
Although COVID-19 is seen as a disease that primarily affects the lungs, it can damage many other organs as well. This organ damage may increase the risk of long-term health problems. Organs that may be affected by COVID-19 include:

Heart. Imaging tests taken months after recovery from COVID-19 have shown lasting damage to the heart muscle, even in people who experienced only mild COVID-19 symptoms. This may increase the risk of heart failure or other heart complications in the future.
Lungs. The type of pneumonia often associated with COVID-19 can cause long-standing damage to the tiny air sacs (alveoli) in the lungs. The resulting scar tissue can lead to long-term breathing problems.
Brain. Even in young people, COVID-19 can cause strokes, seizures and Guillain-Barre syndrome — a condition that causes temporary paralysis. COVID-19 may also increase the risk of developing Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.

I realise this is early stuff but the cost is not just now but long term health costs and not $'s but for folk and their lives but hey keep complaining and sooking!

Just because someone expresses an opinion that is different to yours Grump doesn't mean they're complaining or sooking...it just means they disagree with your point of view which is what sites like this are all about.

I imagine there are a lot of lazy bludgers who are quite happy with lock down. Perhaps even secretly smiling when seeing their “smug wealthy hardworking entrepreneur citizen” going belly up. There would be plenty loving that no doubt.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Exactly Grump the medics are still processing the long term debilitating effects of this disease and there are plenty of testimonials of people young and old who contracted it and now deemed covid negative still experiencing ongoing side effects, and this security guard was traipsing all over Perth carrying the worst overseas mutant strain, and its a miracle that no one thus far has been infected, although some people expected the Premier to sit on his hands and do nothing.

Well he sat on hands the last 10 months and didn’t have a plan in place so why are people so happy that he has shut down most of the state now ?
Bloke has no idea if this is his only plan to deal with a health crisis

The polls would suggest otherwise and if your the actual Mark Olsen who played full forward for Swans in the seventies you would be in the mid to late sixties which places you in the most vulnerable group so if i were you i wouldn't be complaining too much,

The popularity is decreasing, not my fault others are sucked by in by the fear factor.
It’s a virus and if it’s so bad why didn’t the clown have a plan in place for the security guards like every other state ?

Everybody’s getting stuck into the Premier because of the lockdown because there’s been no community transition. Imagine if there HAD been community transition and he’d chosen not to do a lockdown and it spread everywhere, what position would small businesses be in then? He’d be lynched. He doesn’t have a crystal ball. With the partisan nature of politics (especially on ozfooty) you’re damned if you do damned if you don’t. Lose lose.
It’s time for a federal approach to quarantine because it appears Covid is hanging around the world for a while yet.
