Thought Murphy bowled well again, deceived Kohli with a beauty and kept a good line with decent shape, definitely the fella to take over from Lyon in the near future. There was a great pic of Agar and Hazlewood sitting on the pine today, one fit, the other not so, both thinking why am I even here.

On to Indore, not sure what lessons if any will be learnt from today.....hopefully play straight, use your feet and only cross bat out side off and leg stumps will be high on the agenda. Green to come in for Warner/ Renshaw, though TBH Green will be rusty, so no great expectations there. Some talk of Starc coming in, probably for Kuhnemann......but Starc averages 50 + in India, so no great expectations there either.

Uzzie Head Labuschagne, Smith Handscombe Green Carey Starc Cummins Lyon Murphy.

I know AB DeVilliers brought the reverse sweep into the modern game but it's gotten that bad I'd like to see it banned or heavily restricted in use - it's been a huge factor in this series

And then they all gather round his wokeness, sign an Australian t shirt and present it to the Indian bowler who decimated them.
WTF is going on!! Can you imagine Border, I & G Chappell, S Waugh or Ponting doing that? Bunch of absolute soft cocks.

the first thing CA need to do after this series is approach Ponting about coaching Australia and get him.
He would be a godsend for the bats

That is laughable if true SS but not surprising.
The funny thing is Jadeja and Ashwin are only bowling stump to stump, only trying to sharply turn the odd one to make the Aussie batsmen take note, they are just waiting (not long I might add) for our befuddled batsmen to make the error which they do regularly!
The lack of foot movement by our batsmen in getting to the pitch of the ball is just mind boggling, and the clown coaches who insist on us sweeping to balls that are stump to stump should be fired upon return from this disaster of a tour!

simply
it would be nice to see the batsmen play through the line of the ball for one session of play

and if that sounds a wee bit familiar - it's straight out of the Under 10's coaching manual worldwide

Heard McDonalds press conference today. Really he has no clue. He said that the teams preparation was not at fault, it was the batsmen who didn't follow their "plan" . The bad news is that this clown is signed on till 2026.

What a farce this tour has become. Hazlewood is now finally heading home with the injury which should have ruled him out of the tour in the first place, Starc is no certainty for the 3rd test so WTF is he doing there? Cummins is going home for a week due to a family issue. Meanwhile you have Agar and Morris sitting there with little hope of playing the remaining two tests. Murphy also picked up an injury in Delhi . The rest of the team have got a few days off in Delhi but have nowhere to practice ( isn't that the team managements responsibility to organise?)

They need at least a draw in one of the last two tests to qualify for the WTC final but really isn't it a bit embarrassing that this team is in a position to participate in this match?

McDonald hasn't got a clue Mike.Hes as useless as a coach as he was as a player.
Every batsman got out playing the same sort of shot.Of course it was a team instruction.
I wouldn't have a clue about how many Cricket clubs play in the greater New Delhi area.My guess it would be well over 100 clubs.Pretty sure they could find suitable nets without much effort.
Aha a quick Google search.Theres 111 Cricket clubs in the New Delhi area.Probably juniors and adult teams at each club.Jeez probably over 500 teams in that area alone.

To be fair to Ronald McDonald GTR he is unsure of his job description now with Cummins heading back to Sydney, who does he give cuddles too now?!
