Really ?
Can you guarantee that would have been the case.
16,000 people who are inside for 2 weeks in wa will be happy with that news that cricketers are allowed to play sport but they have to stay inside.

Can’t blame the Indian team threatening to boycott Brisbane if they are forced to isolate in their rooms. Mrs AFL was able to accommodate whole resorts for AFL teams from interstate including Melbourne teams, surely with no international tourists they can provide a resort style bubble.

I cannot believe that they are still playing this test in Sydney when every epidemiologist I have heard has expressed the opinion that it is an unnecessary risk with the current situation the way it is in NSW. It just seems to be madness particularly given other outside gatherings in the city are being restricted. What is so special about Cricket Australia and the SCG. Oh yes I forgot $$$$.

Be interesting to see if the selectors show some balls and open with Warner and Pucovski....if the Aust top 3 can chew up some overs, it may spark a return to run scoring for Smith. Think with Yadav out, Aust has a good opportunity to go 2-1 up v Bumrah and 2 newbie fast bowlers....Anything come out of that breach in COVID protocol by those 5 Indians?...

Shock horror we have a rain delay already during the SCG Test...even the MCG Test waited 3 days for some rain not 3 overs!

bh; i watched boycott comment on test cricket at the waca and the first thing he said was 'there would be a result' -- no rain he stressed, particularly in FEB., naturally, bease, he had seen whole tests rainned off over east.

The young fellow Pucovski showed something very good - but there's a flaw
in going too far across his stumps which got him in the end , all Test bowler's eyes will be one that one single thing unless it can be removed or modified
but it was a sight for sore eyes this one
well played young man

Reckon that innings of Pucovski breathed some fresh air into the Australian top order....seemed to motivate Smith into being pro active in his innings, which hopefully will pay off today with a big innings from the champ and his protégé Labuschagne. I guess as Southy says the likes of Anderson, Broad etc will be looking to pitch the ball up to the young fella in search of a lbw….saying that he seemed to drive straight until that dismissal...Smith wanders across alot and has a great average, so Pucovski might be ok.....at this stage of his career he has a better average, more runs, centuries/double centuries then Smith.....be nice if Green can get his eye in and score a few as well.
