India tours are crap, they always promise lamb and deliver mutton. The only time they've ever put up a fight is when Warner and Smith weren't playing.
CA will leave no stone unturned to make sure Perth doesn't get a test, can't dare disturb any of these "traditional" fixtures in other states.

Good fightback by India after Adelaide. Rolling the Aussies for under 200.There batsman might fancy themselves on this pitch.
Wonderful tribute payed to Dean Jones at the tea break.Wife and two daughters walked out to the wicket. With Dean's last bat his iconic sunglasses and his baggy green cap.Dean's great friend Allan Border also walked out to the wicket with Dean's family.

Boy rolling India for 36 in the last Test has wallpapered over some very big cracks in our own batting.
Burns, Wade & Head continue to tease and ultimately disappoint with the bat, just not up to Test level in my books but other than Warner & Pucovski not sure who else is capable of replacing them...is Kurtis Patterson available again now?
Both Labushagne & Smith after incredible 2019s respectively are really struggling this summer.
Some very good bowling from India again no doubt but some of the dismissals were ordinary.
Fancy winning the toss and batting on the MCG road and being rolled for 195 on the first day.

BH there was supposed to have been 10 mm of grass on the wicket,day1.If we don't get some big wickets early tommorow. On that bitchamem wicket with tennis ball bounce.Perfect wicket for the Indian batsmen if they get set.The best batting on that wicket will be day2+3.Will be a minefield days 4+5.

Australia were caught up in their own euphoria when they bowled India out for 36 in Adelaide, a performance that covered up some huge cracks in their own batting which have been ruthlessly exposed in this test. The series score will stand at 1-1 sometime early tomorrow but India will this time carry all the momentum into the 3rd test.

The Australian "batting" in this series has been abysmal, no team score over 200 yet, very unlikely to get it in the 2nd innings here either. The underlying issue as we all know is that Smith has been relied on far too much. He cannot buy a run at the moment and the frail nature of rest of the batting order has been exposed. India have lost their best batsman and one of their best bowlers and somehow or other they have managed to absorb that and absolutely dominate this game.

Burns cannot play the next test, his technique and confidence are shot. Before his dismissal today he survived 1 LBW referral and 2 run out attempts in 15 minutes of cringeworthy batting. If Harris is the only other option in the squad put him in, he can hardly do worse than Burns. Also Head should be dropped for his loose stroke play but he will probably retain his spot unless Warner comes back and no other alternative player is banging down the door really. Labushagne has forgotten the methods that served him so well last season. On a positive note I thought that Wade showed a lot of guts and determination today when wickets were falling around him and Cam Green showed a really good temperament when the team score was looking sick. Pat Cummins put many of the top order to shame with his technique. I thought the bowlers did their job well to get India out for 330 ( would have been 70 or 80 less if the fielders hadn't been so butter fingered) They may be tempted to bring in Pattinson in place of Starc for the next test to give the Indians something different to deal with, overall the bowling unit need more than 195 to play with in the first innings

Mike that 3rd day Indian capitulation for 36 in Adelaide has glossed over the fact that India have won 5 of the 6 days of Test cricket in this series so far.
Our bowlers have kept us in it whilst are batting and catching have been at BBL umpiring level- absolutely disgraceful and amateurish!
As I have continually posted the likes of Head is not up to Test standard, Burns form is now embarrassing whilst Wade is gutsy and will hang in there but lacks that class ability imho.
Labushagne has been reading his own press all year by the looks is trying to play like a millionaire rather than that hard working grafter that burst on the scene in 2019 and Smith is out of touch big time.

good posts guys; the game could have been over, lost by an innings, if the silly captain not run himself out and judea not played a stupid shot.

The opener's position is one for specialists, we should go back to that thinking. If they have decided that wade is not good enough to bat in the middle order, it is unlikely that he will make a success of the top. bancroft or harris should ave played instead of him.

Unfortunately, over the years, there have been far too many players whom have still been selected in the test side, apparently because of one day form

Wade
bevan
mark waugh
geoff marsh

for eng.,

morgan and roy come to mind

AR I didnt think it was possible but I believe I may have found something as nauseatingly bad as the Australian batting/catching and BBL umpiring- Fox Cricket's commentators- Shane Warne, Brett Lee & Isha Guha!
Bill Lawry sitting at home would have turned the sound off on this lot of "state the bleeding obvious" whilst Richie Benaud, Tony Greig, Max Walker, Frank Tyson, Fred Trueman would be turning in their grave at the rubbish this lot put out.
As Richie would say " You only speak or turn your mic on when you have something to add to the pictures being telecast".
Someone should tell this current lot of amateurs the above statement!

Brett Lee is as boring as batshit. He'd put fish to sleep and they don't even have eyelids. I don't mind Warney in small doses but just wish he'd shut up occasionally and not hog the commentary.

BH-- I agree with you completely on Fox's commentators mate. I am also turning over to the game in NZ, which is not a good sign

It just shows that packer did try and get in the best when he took over the tv rights. All the great poms were on wen DKL kicked miandad, making for interesting listening. Benaud was not happy ether. The standard of commentary around the world is a worry, some of the yarpies can barely speak english.

In NZ, they also had something on its coverage which must not be replicated in relation to Taylor being the most capped kiwi. For goodness, sake, are we all that stupid, that we are now giving the same weight to appearances in test matches, odis and twenty twenty/ I bloody well hope not.

One could not inlude bradman, or for that matter, players, such as Hobbs and Sutcliffe, remembering that they avoided tours unless they were to Australia.
