On another note I wonder what the buffoon Warne is saying now after calling for AUS to declare with a lead of only 280 yesterday saying that is more than enough runs?
From memory he was probably saying the same at Headingly last year in the Ashes as well.

What a final day it has been. All results still possible at tea but India may struggle to win it with the bowlers and 2 incapacitated batsmen. However they are more than capable of hanging on for a draw and Australia will have to work very hard to get the remaining 5 wickets. Starc is a real chance to be replaced in the next test whatever happens as he is bowling in the 130s and looking fairly disinterested. Hopefully Pucovskis injury isnt as bad as it looks. Great innings from Pant. Fantastic ball from Hazlewood to get rid of Pujara. Buckle in for the last 36 overs!

India would have already won if Warne was Captain Mike as he said in commentary yesterday they should pull them in now when we had a 280 run lead as that was more than enough!
Of course none of the others in the commentary box ever pull him up when he says this relentlessly "declare now 250-300 is enough to chase".
Thankfully he was never Captain as he seemingly forgets we dont have a bowler like himself to rip through sides in the 4th innings anymore!

Dead right Mike fark Starc is a major disappointment.
Has not even attempted to bowl one yorker I have seen just half track rubbish that the batsmen are playing with ease.
If Paine was any Captain he would be kicking him up the Khyber and imploring him to bend his back and pitch it up!

The other disappointment to me today has been Lyon. The spinners role is to bowl his team to victory on a deteriorating day 5 pitch and he has failed, just as what happened in Headingly when Stokes won England a famous victory.

He is bowling too fast and full (that is exactly what our pace bowlers should be bowling) thus not giving it a chance to turn or jump out of the rough.
All in all a very piss poor bowling display today outside of Hazlewood and to a lesser extent Cummins.
Full credit to the Indian batsmen who have dug in, but the lengths we have bowled have made it easier than it should have been!

You have to give credit to the Indians though for showing so much ticker in the face of injuries and the absence of their best batsman.

They actually would have won this Test if half their team were not injured in this match Mike- Pant, Jadeja, Vuhari etc and especially with the tripe length our bowlers have bowled ALL DAY long!

Not sure how badly injured Pant was TBH....yeah nasty blow, no break, just bruising, kept on batting, had a day off from keeping, then comes out and smacks 97 at a good clip...well done by the guy, but crafty use of the sub by India.....

pity with all Paine's annoying chit chat behind the stumps today, he wasn't escorted out of the ground like the 6 fellas were the other day...pretty ordinary captaincy by the skipper today....on top of dropping 3 catches....JL is too loyal to make changes, but geez the bowling was pretty ordinary today....no thought what so ever
