At first I wanted us to keep pick 6 but I can see that this move gives us a lot more flexibility in the trade and drafts.

It has been said we have offered pick 11 and a future second for Hogan as our final offer. I think they are trying to call Melbourne's bluff but I do see another offer coming either tomorrow or early next week.

There were reports tonight that Adelaide were keen to do a deal with Brisbane regarding pick 5. This would allow Adelaide to get in ahead of Port and chose the best SA talent on offer before their rivals. It was said that the Crows would get pick 5 and the Lions would get pick 8 and 16 which they would then on trade to Fremantle for Lachie Neale. This is good in theory but I would try and hijack this deal. Freo say to Brisbane you can have Neale and give us pick 5 and a future first round draft pick.

If that happens then we trade pick 5 to the Crows for picks 8 and 16. Basically means we get an extra first round pick, which will come into play later on.

Freo would then picks 8, 11, 16. Now Geelong want a top 10 pick or something close from the Eagles. I would suggest trading pick 11 to the Eagles for picks 20 and 22. Pick 11 should be enough for the Eagles to get Kelly.

Any one of those picks in the 20's goes to the Giants for Lobb, lets say 22.

Now most people would have Fremantle and Brisbane finishing outside of the eight next year. As we have two future first round picks for 2019 and if both teams didn't make the finals then they would have a pick between 1-10. I think if Freo said to Melbourne that we will give you pick 16 and a future 1st round, which could likely be a top 10 pick then Melbourne would consider this more than what we offered earlier.

Or you could trade the two future first round picks which could be very high but I'd be wanting a future second round pick coming back our way. This would likely be somewhere between 31-36 if they finish in the top six which you would say is a strong possibility.

Freo would gain Lobb, Hogan and head to the draft with picks 8, 20, 23, 30, 49.

Sounds like Lachie Neal is getting mighty pissed off with the way Freo are handling this, and is prepared to go public and embarrass the club, the clowns need to sort the deal.

Neale is the only person who should be embarrassed, he is under contract until the end of next season so the trade is on Freo's terms and its irrelevant what he thinks.

Brisbane and Neale are the ones trying to break a contract, like anything else in life if you want to break a contract you have to accept it may not end how you want it to..

Love your theory Mr AFL. It is what trade should be about but sadly not all parties want to come to the table and "trade" and, in your proposal, are there too many clubs involved to arrive at a final outcome where every club involved would be a winner?
I doubt that Freo would want to "trade" with the Eagles ATM given the Gaff incident.

All the big trades get done at the last minute.
Neale will get to Brisbane,Hogan will get to Freo and Anchorman will no longer be frustrated!

As for Neales speech and love for everyone,lip service only for the masses that were there.

A lot of criticism thrown Fremantle's way but what actually has Brisbane offered for Neale?
