Reckon that puts the Eagles right back into getting him for 2020.
If the Dockers went cold on him due to injury he may not want to go there when he dooes come home, just a thought.

Maybe 30plus but I think Melbourne probably have a big say in this. Seems like they were asking too much and Freo are well placed in the draft if they don't have to sell the farm to get Hogan.

Seems a bit odd, these sorts of trades go right up till the last day of trading trying to broker deals,it’s only day 2.

I didn’t see the news so I haven’t seen it reported and I can’t find anything on it in any of the footy sites or trade sites.

That's what I was thinking. If Freo get what they want out of Brisbane for Lachie Neale they have plenty to offer Melbourne. Melbourne will be under pressure next year when Hogan is fit then he, McDonald and Weideman don't go in the same forward line.

Who knows what to believe? That's why they call it the silly season

If Freo is brave enough to give up Sean Darcy they will get Geelong to the table in a heartbeat to swap Kelly. Give Geelong something they need and they will come to the table.

Freo can not play him and Sandi in the same team

If you can convince Kelly to nominate Fremantle then I'm sure that's a possibility.

Kelly is contracted so if he doesn’t want to go to Freo he doesn’t have to regardless what Geelong want.
My understanding what I’ve read and heard is,it’s either Eagles in 2019 or he stays at Geelong for one more year.

I still haven’t seen any reports on this.
I would have thought this would be big news and all the media outlets would be all over it.
Did you hear it right?

Yep, I record everything. Straight out of the mouth of Basil Zempilas "Fremantle have missed out on star forward Jesse Hogan who is set to remain in Melbourne next year".

Fremantle have a big opportunity to try and get into this years draft if they can trade Neale for picks 5 and 32.
Then offer up pick 5 to the crows for picks 8 & 16 then on trade pick 8 to west coast for their picks 20 & 22.
Leaving the Dockers with pick 6, 16, 20, 22 & 32
Crow to use 5 on one of the two local kids they are so keen on
West coast get Kelly for pick 8
Everyone’s a winner

I read earlier that Brisbane traded picks with the Suns which included giving up pick 24 for later picks. I can't see how that helps them satisfy Fremantle. I reckon pick 5 and 24 would have got the deal done. Maybe now it's going to come down to how many picks they offer or future second round pick.
