Talk of S. Marsh getting selected to replace the ever injured Lynn.....reckon Short deserves a gig, new face, young and definitely a clean striker of the ball like Lynn.....Short bowls a bit of spin too from memory.....

Poor old Jhye since his selection has been hammered, hopefully he gets a one day gig tho.....surprised Stanlake wasn't given a run too.....is 10 overs too many for Tye?.....Has Tye played shield for WA yet?....seems a very clever bowler but military paced at best......

Tye has played 8 First Class games & 24 one dayers at domestic level.
He has played 70-odd domestic & international T20 games.

agree with your comments on Stanlake Freez....204cm and bowling at 150kph would make him very difficult to deal with if his back stands up.

Has anyone seen Hobart Hurricanes batsman D'Arcy Short bat.Last 3 innings 94-96-122 tonight.122 the largest score ever in he BBL.With the Chris Lynn injury.Has to be a chance for the ODI's.

Gee those Scorchers sure don't give up. 4 -35 chasing 174 and they manage to come within one clean hit of another victory. It was a very exciting finish and unfortunately Cartwright couldnt get one of those last 3 balls away over the boundary. This might sound strange but I am thinking it may have been better in the last two or three overs to sacrifice a wicket to get Agar out there as he is as clean a hitter as Turner. He may have been able to connect with one or two of Sandhus deliveries in the 2nd last over which were only going for ones and twos. The replacement players went OK, Kelly I thought was very impressive and Bresnan was rusty but will be better for that run. Khwajas innings was the difference in the end really.

Definitely never out of the contest are the Scorchers.....Kelly looks promising as you say mikeh.....done well shield wise too I have noticed.....WA seems to have depth of quality quicks even with injuries.....pity some are injury prone as well.....never seen a glut like it TBH.....

Need to get more runs in the power play. I’d be giving thought to either Turner or Agar opening with a free licence to hit the boundary. Only 3 boundaries from first 36 balls last night. Makes it too hard for larger run chases.

S Marsh might be back next game which should help but I heard Mark Waugh mention he’s got a niggling injury.

Voges has been suspended for the next game due to slow over rates so Marsh would be handy as the Scorchers are fast running out of players.
