yep...they were my thoughts as well a/man. Wade went into the rooms at least 3 times that I saw so maybe he had a crook stomach or similar.

I missed that guys, I did see him field for 20 overs and say late in the innings that he was looking forward to batting. Must have had a dodgy pie floater at the innings break, or he drank some west end draught, either of those will make you sick

this is from the cricket website

Hobart Hurricanes captain George Bailey says a desire to maintain a left and right-handed batting combination was part of the reason behind Matthew Wade’s demotion down the batting order for Sunday’s KFC BBL final.

Yeah when you are chasing 203, you just send your in form players out there and give them as much time as possible at the crease. No time for any clever strategies. Wade should have been used up front with Short given his form in Perth., McDermott at 3 and then the rest. Probably wouldnt have made the difference but it might have given them a bit of hope.

Not too sure the purpose of Warner playing these Tri T20s.... hasn't made a run since the tests and heads off to SA with few runs under his belt... Surely a rest during the ODI after the series was lost and then a hit for NSW this week would of been better prep than 5 ODI and T20 for nowt.

Agar seems to have found his niche... far better spinning prospect in the short form than Zampa...fields and bats better too... hopefully can take a few wickets in the shield too

...Carey needs to be Aust short form keeper......and hopefully longer form too....looks a better bat than Paine and tidier keeper.....but don't mind him spending another year or so developing his longer game for SA.... definitely needs to be on the plane for the Ashes in Eng in 2019.....could be another Gilchrist for Aust....big call but at 25/26 does look the goods.

Short will only get better with a few scores under his belt.... definitely with him and Lynn in the top order Aust short form looks far better....Eng have found a good ODI recipe which Aust would be silly not too copy....Aust should be getting as many international ODI/T20 games into Short, Lynn, Maxwell and Carey as possible....for me Smith is gone as a T20 player for Aust...Warner and Finch will be there and there about.
W/C ODI - Short, Warner/Finch, Lynn, Stoinis, Maxwell, Carey, Agar, Cummins, Starc, Tye, Hazlewood/ Stanlake/ Jhye Richardson

W/C T20. Short, Carey, Lynn, Stoinis, Maxwell, Turner/McDermott, Agar, Cummins, Tye, Stanlake, Kelly/Jhye Richardson
