You must have a different understanding to me of the meaning and implications of "practical completion", BC.

It's my understanding practical completion means all works in the main have been completed and the building is available for occupancy. There may still be some minor works outstanding or small defects that are yet to be sorted but based on ooolllls comments about all access not quite ready I'd say that's a reasonably significant issue. I also noted some negative comments about lifts etc not being readily available and accessible for disabled folk which to me is also a pretty big deal....so based on that, if correct, you'd have to question whether accepting practical completion was wise.

I think there was an element of sarcasm there a/man...

Good to see the Scorchers farewell the Furnace with a win and fittingly it was yet another hard fought victory when we looked in trouble.
Let’s hope we can make our new fortress at Perth Stadium just as formidable a venue for the opposition starting with a Semi Final next week.

As u say Anchor it works both ways....pretty sure a replay showed Voges was out LBW as well or was it Bresnsn? Great to see Kelly and Richardson bowl some great overs, esp Kelly after Weatherald hit him for a couple of sixes early on. I guess if S Marsh comes back Whiteman will go, though going to be an interesting final for whoever makes it with Aus to SA and the Tri T20 series going on.....The Scorchers seem to have a knack of finding ready-made replacements.

Seems like they’re going to bring in the Marsh bros for the finals. I guess you have to go with your best, but a bit sad for the ones who get dropped after being part of the team that got them there.

Pretty simple selection I would have thought-

Agar moves up to the Australian T20 side (replaced by Mitch Marsh)
Whiteman struggling at the top of the order after the long finger injury break (replaced by Shaun Marsh)

The only issue now is the lack of a spin option (Turner unable to bowl) but maybe Voges might have to roll the arm over for a couple of overs.

Intrigued by an incident with Hurricanes yesterday afternoon. Archer hit the ball & ran two. As he grounded the bat , it deflected the ball which went to the boundary. He got SIX runs for that hit. Usually when a batsman is hit or the ball deflects off the bat there seemed to be a "gentleman's agreement that they wouldn't run. Anyone seen this before?
