Bastards if they do.
Nah!!

DF, he can't play for EP next year if he gets delisted unless they change the rules. That's why Selwood is still there on the gravy train as an assistant coach, unable to play. Once they are delisted they are deemed to be a recruit from outside their zone. Hence can't play, thems the rules, for now.

Then I think only hanging up the boots and taking some other role at WCE would stop him playing at PFC.
I think he has seen his best at AFL level but I think he would offer something in the WAFL.
I would love to see him in the red and black if he retires from AFL.

I hope they are canvasing a few applicants and im still hopefull until he or the club state otherwise that Harris is still a chance!

I would say DD that new coaches from colts to seniors will be in place in 2015 and hopefully the new senior coach will have a big say on who they are.
Not sure about Gandini afterall if hes that good why hasnt he popped up anywhere else?

Nah not suggesting that, just a thought i had. I think Len wasn't in the best of health so not sure where he's at but wouldn't hurt to pick up the phone and invite him in for a chat.

I hope they throw the kitchen sink at Harris, he is clearly the most outstanding unemployed coach out there. Proven at WAFL level. Regarding Harvey, the questions I would be asking him is, is he committed to staying in WA for say the next 5 years, or is he just hanging around until his kids finish school? Is his misses here and is she happy living in Perth? Last thing we need is another coach who's misses wants to go home to be with family.

Second question i would ask is what experience has he had at state league level? Harvey has always been at well resourced AFL clubs where there are almost limitless $$$ and man power to assist coaches and players, recruit players etc.... He might be in for a shock at the lack of off field support and resources available to him.

P.S quoted you from the P v EF thread but thought it more appropriate to place it here.

Anyone have a listen to Percy Johnson's comments on Monday. Do yourself a favour and have a listen. The man speaks a lot of sense and has been involved at Perth before.

So Percy thinks Brian Cousins would be good back at the club! Interestingly he mentions chubby as one of the people at the club who need to take a backseat and let the coach do his job! Again reference to the administration of the club rather than coaches!

I agree with Percy on both comments.
There are some external influences that have for too long stifled this club going forward. We need more than the right man as coach. Whoever he is he must be given a free reign to put his structures in place, all the resources he needs and be free of external interferences.

And that brings me to Bryan Cousins. There could be no better person IMO to be appointed Director of Football. He bleeds red and black, he is a Life Member of the club,he has both AFL/VFL and WAFL experience as a player and would be the ideal link from the Board to the Football Department. I believe he does have outside interests and may not want to be or can't be involved, but he epitomises the person this club needs in that job.
